Another masterful Coaching Job by Coach Cal

Yeah a couple of nba draft picks can do that for a team. Even with boogie and theiro on the bench.
With Z basically useless (he is waaayyyy too soft), they are down to 6 players. I haven’t watched them much, but I’m honestly surprised at their games. I’m not sure they’re the pushover I thought they’d be w/o Adou now.

I was told Arkansas has the highest paid roster in college basketball and the highest paid coaching staff ? Is this true ? I bet Brad Calipari is the highest paid dry erase board cleaner in the country. That’s all I’ve ever seen him do. Cal draws up play hands board to him and he cleans it and he’s pretty fast at it. Mister earned not given himself has an extra board behind his seat. Great preparation !
Earned not given.

Considering Cals “incredible” ability to design a play, a quick erasing is probably for the best…..or he doesn’t want the nation to see the masterful Gooooo or Ruuuuun call.

Someone said here that Arkansas is a guaranteed in for the NCAA Tourney...

How? I know they beat us, but what else have they done in conference? Did they beat Auburn? They had 19 wins before the SECT. What am I missing here. Aren't they also down a star player from early in the season when they won some games?

Doesn't matter, but it just seems like the SEC has so many good teams that the 9 seed isn't or shouldn't be likely to make it.
They’re in. Beat Michigan, UK, Texas twice. Texas is now one of lunardis last 4 in.

Ah, OK. I thought they lost to Texas @home, but also thought the Michigan win wasn't much of a factor now that they had the injuries they had. Is that not a factor now where it was a few years ago?

They were 8-10 in the SEC. A whopping 2 games behind us in the standings. 7-4 after their terrible start. They have 5 quad 1 wins. Look, I don't like them and I'm certainly not pulling for Cal...but they absolutely should be in the tournament with that resume from this conference.
They have played like a legit team for the last almost 2 months now.

Cal has always got the guys to play their best with the least amount of help. It’s weird, but he coaches way better with 6 top players. 2015 had the perfect blend of talent to play 2 teams. Outside that 2011 style teams he does his best work with. Ala letting Sheppard and Dilly come off the bench.

Losing Fland turned their season around. Davis started getting more minutes and got his fame track.

Definitely a tourney team altho without Thiero not in position to make any kind of a run. Play really good D

You know with Fland Cal would have ridden him to nowhere
Yeah Fland played great but they didn’t play as a team with him. Davis has played very well since he’s been out and ran the team much better, I’m shocked they have played so well without Adou.

It is. But they’ve proven they can play well without Fland and Thiero i assume is expected back at some point soon. I dislike Cal more than anybody on this planet, but in this league this year they’ve done enough.

Ok. I just haven't been fortunate (?) enough to see them play well outside of their SB against us.

I think if Cal had been here and had the same results, beating Alabama instead of us, of course, we wouldn't make the tournament, but I could easily be wrong.

Yeah I get that but how many of the 6 end up in the nba in the next few years. Knox. Billy Richmond. Davis. Wagner. Adou?

After Pedulla's three pointer I noticed the clock paused at 1.3 seconds allowing Arkansas enough time to inbound the ball and attempt a desperation shot. I thought it was a time keeping error, but no, it's the rule.

"In college basketball, the game clock stops after a made basket during the last minute of the game and any overtime period."

If Arkansas had a timeout left, Cal could have setup a final play.
The clock also started waaaay late on the inbounds.

Mississippi State, Missouri, Georgia, @ Vandy, and Texas x2 are all pretty decent wins. OOC win over Michigan.

Better resume than someone like UNC for example with four more Q1 wins.

I couldn't help but notice on the last time out Arkansas had, leaving them with none late game, that Cal was seen feverishly writing on the white board, presumably drawing up plays and scenarios knowing it was his last chance to scheme end game strategy. On closer review of the white board he actually got in two solid rounds of the game "hang man".... Getting the guys one more time with the word "puzzle". THAT is HOF coaching!

So glad that joke is gone.

You give Arkansas and Cal more time, exposure, and concern than UK. Help me know who gives a shit about another team and coach. He is gone, get over your heartbreak over losing your Coach Cal and the damn HOGS.
You got the wrong guy. I’m not a Cal hater. I’m laughing at a game. Relax and take a chill pill dude. Calipari isn’t the coach you don’t have to fight the good fight for him, buddy. 👍
