Amile Jefferson out indefinitely for Duke

Marshall was bad, but unfortunately for UNC, Kentucky was a juggernaut. I don't think he pushes UNC for the win. I put him on the 2nd tier. He was never the team's best player like Kyrie and Noel were.. or Hummel to a lesser extent (He was in Purdue's big trio).

injuries always suck....i NEVER wish for a player on opposing teams to have one......

looking over some of these posts for you guys' bad luck is pretty tough as well.....

Marshall wasn't that teams most talented player but he was the player that made them go. Dude was a great floor general, averaged almost 10 assists per game that year.

Oooo how many games might duke lose? 10 losses would make me smile but 15 losses would be badass! Lose em all Dukie's lose em all

I just want them to drop out of the #1 seed. That's one of the single biggest roadblocks for Kentucky (or UNC, Kansas, etc). When Duke is a top6-7 team, the Selection Committee bends right over for them. However, when they are more like a 2 seed (remember, being top6 = #1 seed for Duke), I think the NCAA drops the favoritism a bit. For instance, when they got a #3 seed in 2014, you could easily make an argument for them as a #2.. I remember laughing and thinking "wow, Duke actually didn't get much help this year".

They seem to get an extra bump when they are among the elite teams in the nation. And when that happens, when a whole region gets cleared out for them, then the other 3 regions turn into anything from difficult to gauntlets.

Hoping this Amile injury nets them 4 to 5 losses.

Just peeped the box score of the game tonight and Duke is playing 5 guards, 1 forward, and 1 center. Well, I just noticed that Ingram is being called a guard, but he's really a small forward.

Foot injuries confuse me in basketball. I can understand ankles, knees, shins, etc. But other than someone stepping hard on your foot, how do you injure a foot? Is it broke?
Foot injuries do happen a lot in basketball. You impact those feet every time you jump. Now with Duke, I'd expect more whiplash injuries with all that throwing the head back constantly as you dribble down the court but I guess, if you train for it, you can build up the neck muscles so that you do not get injured.
