For all the infrastructure improvements UK is making in the FB program, you have to wonder what is going on. I realize today's recruits want to be pampered and want all the latest & coolest in facilities, uniforms, in-game music, but do those things really help? You can have 50 sets of uniforms, play the latest in music before, during and after the game, video games in the football facility, fireworks during pregame, really, how does that help the on-field product? I know it is what the recruits want to see and that stuff sells the school. It is almost like the off field activities are diverting attention from the performance on the field. Most true football fans couldn't care less about all that fluff surrounding the game; they want a hard hitting well prepared team representing the state and university on the field. Give me a team that will bust somebody's ass and the heck with the fireworks, music and all the other stuff. Call me old-school or whatever you like but I don't go to games wanting to be entertained by non-football stuff, I want to see a competitive team and not have to leave the stadium after 3 quarters.
