F losing at home to these crap football schools. Boils my blood that UK is just another basketball team in this conference. I have hope that Pope can right this given more time, but this sucks.
Some of us have been talking about our defensive woes all year long. It's pretty obvious this team either cannot or will not play defense.
Losing sucks, but when its taken from you thats just downright awful and hard to accept
Would you all shut up like seriously. Jesus Christ. Cry harder. Best team we have had in years and you all still can't be satisfied. Lost to a top 4 title contender in a shoot out and since we made a few mistakes you all want to cry. Get a life.

Nothing is certain in life. Mark Pope could fail. He could succeed.

I think this game should tell us we really need Kerr back. Perrys +/- has to be awful in the little he played and Butler was a big part of us coughing that up at the end, probably because he’s overworked and beat down

Pope has let this poor defense go on for too long. At some point, something has to change with it. I don't know why it looks like he hasn't addressed it or the guys just play poorly on that end, but do something. Fix it.

I have a feeling the return game will be much of the same this one was. It'll be close.
Everyone is annoyed because it was a winnable game but the team abandoned its offensive identity and stopped sharing the ball.
It was evident that Bama wanted it more. They were diving on the floor, playing fantastic defense, and being discipline on offense
UK just playing Io ball or me ball and not sharing the ball like I did for the first six or seven players of the game
The game just meant more to Bama. That’s what’s annoying and embarrassing to all the fans.

Flop or no flop, the rule states a shooter must have space to land. By the rule it was a foul. Crying over a rule will not help, our coaching staff MUST address this issue we seem to have every game. The opposing shooter would be foolish not to fall in we are in his landing space. It is a good play for them and a horrible play on us.

My expectations for this team haven't changed. I'll be happy if we win a SEC tournament game and a NCAA tournament game. Both would be a step up from the shit show we've had the last few years. This is a cobbled together team. It isn't a national championship contender. We simply don't have enough athleticism on defense.
They need to clean up the roles for Amari and Lamont. Kobe needs to put more effort into being a part of the offense. Brandon is coming along nicely. He's a threat from deep and pretty darn athletic! Jaxson needs to get tougher mentally, make it his mission to drive a dagger through the heart of the opponent. Otega had 3 assists and 0 turnovers. He's better able to take it inside than Lamont and do something with it. Maybe Mark will get him in more when Lamont is out of control.
Yup. Gonna take some Ls, but will also be ready in March. Just gotta stay healthy. Timing is everything. We have a really good team. Better than any of us expected. We have basically skipped the rebuilding period. Should feel blessed!
34 to 20 free throw attempts at home. I love that Rupp home court advantage our opponents always complain about.
This team will peak at the end of of the season. 14-4, take a breath and move forward. I'm enjoying watching what I consider to be a total bonus season.

People have been saying this for years but need to tear down that old tobacco barn and build a modern arena were the students sit on top of the opposing team. Thats my take. Just doesn't feel like the atmosphere in rupp really gives uk a home court advantage.
You look at Williams’ stats and people would think you’re crazy. But it doesn’t tell the true story. You can summarize Williams lazy play on 1 possession. Little over 3 minutes he gets thrown a lob, doesn’t elevate so turn over. Jogs back and freaking stops at the Alabama 3 point line. Bama misses a 3 and Amari is just standing there so Bama guard gets rebound. Amari walks into the lane so the guard kicks it out and Amari makes a half ass effort to close out. 3 for Bama and ballgame.
