Afternoon Underdogs today

Pitino always forces your worst decision makers to make the most decisions. If we lose, that's where we'll get beat. Briscoe and Murray turning the ball over not against the press, but against the half court D.

Exactly. This is how it always goes down. After the game before the UofL game the players immediately fly home from wherever UK is playing. They spend the first part of the week at home with their families, then return to school a couple of days before the UofL game.

They then spend part of those two days practicing and getting ready for the game. It's no different than playing Saturday night, then practice Sunday and Monday in order to get ready for a Tuesday game.
Yes, and we go through this every year. People seem to think Cal gives them the whole week off with no practice or prep before the game. It's usually 2-3 days, then back at it. I think they have Christmas dinner at his house, too

on the other hand, RP never really changes his game tactics - and Cal knows it. Most of his play the last few games could very well be in preparation for the 26th. I believe Cal did that against Albany and NJIT before the Duke game.
Could be wrong - could be wishful thinking, because I AM nervous bout this game.

John Boel picks UK to win the national title.

yeah, I heard that as well. Thing is, he sounded convinced of it. Hope he's right, as I can't see it right now.
Also, the Predictalator(sp?) guy said Kentucky wins 60% of the time by 7 points (If I remembered the numbers correctly)

Cal gives the guys time off because wants them to be with their families for Christmas. Pretty simple, plus Cal wants to be with his family. Doesn't seem like it's hurt us too much so far.

I think he said he wasn't worried about Louisville because he shouldn't have been - at the time he was asked about it. Had several games on our schedule before that one, and he needed the guys to be ready for those. Could be wrong, of course; and am ok about it if so. But that was my impression.

No, you're not wrong. Pitino schedules practice games for the entire ooc schedule leading up to the UK game. He keeps his players at school for two-a-days in preparation. Cal goes on about business and accepts the ul game as an unavoidable nuisance. Cal is badass, Pitino is just ass.

I can see the comparisons between Skal and Harrow being somewhat legit. I also think Skal is behind other players having played against very little competition of the likes he has seen so far at UK. And wasn't he away from the game almost a year?
However, the clock is running for Skal. 1/3 into the regular season and he has pulled a disappearing act. Not a good sign.
