I’d like Big Z to be locked in. We need at least one big man to get the majority of minutes for defensive purposes especially.
Agree I just can’t decide which one to choose right now, so I’m just gonna say whoever is in that individual day gets the minsI’d like Big Z to be locked in. We need at least one big man to get the majority of minutes for defensive purposes especially.
We are too deep to ever cut it to a 7 man rotation. A 9 man rotation with a few spot minutes to the next man up in the 10th slot would be what I believe we need. The roatation needs to be cut down to 7 or 8. Wagner, dilly, reed, reeeves, Mitchell, adou, are the six that should be locked in. Bradshaw, Edwards, ugo, Ivisic are on a game to game or whoever is on that night basis
I wholly agree with you on 1 through 7.the lineup should be in this order
Wagner
Reed
Reeves
Tre
Bradsahw
6th Man: Rob
Adou
Edwards
Ugo
Big Z
Having Reed and Reeves both out there together will be a lethal duo, teams will not be able to leave them open, which would create space for Wagner and others.
This approach is fine for January, but it ain’t what works best in March. We are too deep to ever cut it to a 7 man rotation. A 9 man rotation with a few spot minutes to the next man up in the 10th slot would be what I believe we need.
Looks like he has already reduced Reed's playing time. 14 minutes last game. Little more than spot duty.Gonna be interesting to see how Cal allocates playing time with both Adou and Big Z added to the mix. Just ain’t enough minutes available to go around for everyone expecting and/or deserving of them. Especially since we’re nearing the point in the season when Cal usually shortens his rotation to no more than eight guys.
I just hope he doesn’t deal with the issue by reducing Sheppard and Dillingham’s PT.
8 man is probably more realistic, but the 3 bigs and Edwards there is no way all of them can play meaningful mins. I trust the other 6 over them way more. Ivisic ugo and Bradshaw are just all up and down. It’s a whose on that night with them situation. Edwards I don’t know anymore with him. He just isn’t good enough to be starting and he doesn’t do anything welll at allWe are too deep to ever cut it to a 7 man rotation. A 9 man rotation with a few spot minutes to the next man up in the 10th slot would be what I believe we need.
9 man rotation
Dilly
Shep
Reeves
Mitchell
Wagner
Thiero
UGO
Bradshaw
Big Z
Spot minutes
Edwards
Burks
There is zero way to justify trying to cut it to 7. Valuable players wouldn't be playing at that point. On teams with less depth that may work, but a shallow 7 man rotation is what fans have complained about the past several years. This years squad is simply too talented.
2 of the last 3 champions played a 9 man rotation and had 9 people who played double digits minutes per game. I'll take that recipe anyday. This approach is fine for January, but it ain’t what works best in March.
For our best shot at a title run, we eventually need to figure out what our best eight-man rotation is and go hard with only that …even if it means some feelings get hurt and good players are cut out.
Yes he do.Going to be good to have him back, he brings a lot of toughness to this team
You can't put the words sorely and Thiero in a post, you just can'tGood news as he is our best defender. Maybe the guys need to see the toughness he brings to the floor. He's been sorely missed. Hopefully he gets more PT than Edwards. I'll believe it when I see it.
Ha! Yeah what was I thinking. His loss has been painful. DOH!You can't put the words sorely and Thiero in a post, you just can't
I wouldn't count on itHere's hoping we can start to see some spurts of consistency.
He hasn't played in a month and has only practiced 2 or 3 days. I don't see how people can expect him to play more than 10 minutes let alone start.Hoping we go back to the original starting small ball lineup, including Adou, from the first games and adjust in game.
didn't know his first name, was like who TF is this? 🤣Going to be good to have him back, he brings a lot of toughness to this team
