According to Rivals: Gabriel and Killeya-Jones are both 5 stars

Very confident on Fox, still think Monk is a tossup. Alkins becomes key if both Fox/Monk don't come to UK.

I also still think Cal is very interested in Adebayo.

Fox. Then one of Monk/Alkins. I go back and forth on Kobi. If Cal is indeed pushing Ulis to the NBA, then I expect Simmons here too.

Fox and Monk.

Then maybe one ore big, but I have no idea which one.

I wouldn't be surprised if we only sign Fox and Monk. We are in pretty good shape in the front court with Gabriel, SKJ, Humphries, and Wynyard.

Of course, if we can nab another big, then we definitely add another one, but Cal is probably concentrating on the Fox and Monk duo now that he has two bigs in this class.

Just my guess.

Wenyen was great consolation for Bridges.

Alkins is not good consolation for Monk. I really don't think he's top 10 in this class, either. To me, him and Simmons are on the same tier.

Alkins or Simmons would be great. Both 5 stars. Cats fans have got spoiled.

I might be dreaming but I think our class finishes with Fox, Monk and one of Giles/Bam

Monk
Jackson
Giles
Alkins
Fox
Adebyo

Thats the order I would want them in. Honestly I've only seen their mixtapes and those are subjective (at best) so I really have no idea which of these kids would fit our program and needs the best. However one thing that stood out the most about Monk to me was the swagger he plays with. As a point guard in Cal's system you need confidence, willingness to look for your teammates and the ability to create your own shot.

I love how creates space without bullying his way to the rim. I'm sure he could do that but at the next level you need to create space without having to rely on your size difference over-matching your opponent. He seems to be very smooth and appears to be a willing facilitator.

I'm not as high on Fox as many here seem to be (again, just from his mixtapes, so take it with a grain of salt). The shots he makes seems to be acrobatic shots over smaller players and if he puts that up at the next level its going to be shoved back down his throat. Granted he is a good player but I see a big learning curve for him.

I think this recruiting cycle announcement dates are going to play a crazy important role in things....the whole world knows we have prioritized Fox and Monk. Thankfully Fox by all reports should be deciding sooner rather than later (fingers crossed he commits on his visit!) But if Alkins and Simmons don't wanna wait then we may lose them waiting until the spring on Monk. I think with the big guys we want one more and either Bolden or Adebayo are the priorities. But we do still have offers out to Thon Maker, T.J. Leaf and Jarrett Allen and technically Azubukie although that's not going to happen.

Alkins or Simmons would be great. Both 5 stars. Cats fans have got spoiled.

With 8 National Titles, the most wins in college basketball history as well as the highest winning % :

5 star recruits are Kentucky fans birthright.

Give me Fox and two of the other three, and I'll poop a little squealing worm.

I think we have an amazing shot . No one really knows but anyone saying we don't is just being pessimistic . Everyone also said we had no shot at Murray as well....

How about Newman and Zimmerman? UK still getting them?

0.0000% chance Bridges chooses UK tomorrow.

A class of Fox/Monk/Gabriel/Killeya-Jones/Giles would be the best 5-man class ever. I know Giles is a long shot, but he is the only piece that would need to change for it to be the most likely scenario.

I've said this before on another thread. But, I really think it's a solid gamble. You almost want Monk to wait until the spring, so that he gets to see the full trainwreck of Arkansas' basketball season.

They are going to be really, really bad this year, and I would say it will be likely that he will be in attendance for the double digit beatdown we will put on them in January.

Will Giles play the 5 or 4 in collage. Would love to have him but I think he is going to Duke.

I agree, and I think it's what Cal had in mind with his "best class ever" comment (though he might have been thinking Bridges instead of Gabriel- but in terms of pure talent, not a huge difference there).

I just get the feeling that he's not going to give up on Giles, and has a lot more hope about him than the general public. Giles going to Oak Hill can be seen as a positive for UK. The real test will be 10/31. That's when Giles visits Duke (2 weeks after UK), and it's less than 2 weeks before the early signing period. If Giles sets some kind of date to sign right after that visit, then I'll accept that UK is officially toast. If he comes off that visit and hesitates at all, then I'll have a lot more hope.
