Ugly or no, this team battled against Ole Miss and pulled out a victory despite OM giving what will undoubtedly be their best performance of the year. Hell, their leading scorer was removed from the game with cramps because he played so hard.

In the end, Cal was right: we need games like this. One of my main fears in the SEC was cruising through and getting shocked by some mid-major in the tournament.

Ultimately this was the best case scenario. It's a win and one that we got to learn from. We live off our defense and when we don't play defense this is what happens.

We were not good offensively in the first half and horrible on defense most of the time. Ole Miss got in that zone and were out of their mind. That is how upsets happen.....but Cats dug it out in OT. Yes a win is always a win.....

This really wasn't a ugly win. Actually our offense won this game 11 for 20 from 3 was the difference. Our D was so so. Ole Miss had a horse shoe up its #@#@# and hit everything. Stayed toe to toe with us for the most part. Good Win!

After looking at the box score, I'm surprised Andrew was 5-1 in assist/turnover. I thought he played pretty awful for most of the game (save the clutch 3). I guess I was wrong.

The team got to learn and make clutch plays and win, after a long layoff.

I'll take it.

Hear, hear. Win and move on.
