A little trouble for UK football

Why am I not surprised?
The one yr we have a legit shot at a title and the NCAA dark cloud appears on the horizon!
Yet, Wright and CRod have been cleared!

“Was in some trouble” seems to be the case now. It’s been handled, the guys have been punished and we are ready to go. Believe it or not, it might have benefited us with CRod having fresh legs going into Ole Miss and the second half of the season.

My problem with all this is that the LHL breaks this crap post UK/NCAA investigation that was fine with Wright getting a 1 gm suspension and CRod getting a 4 game suspension. Apparently this investigation has been going on since Feb., UK and the NCAA have been involved. UK issued the suspensions, the NCAA was satisfied with the punishment and now the F’in LHL is trying to raise the dead and stir up more ish.
WTF man?
Talk about biting the hand that feeds you! This reeks of Jerry “Tipsy” Tipton!

I mean were they not investigating this prior to ruling Rodriguez & Wright eligible? Now it's under investigation. It's like wiping before you shit.
The investigation is over. The article is simply rehashing everything that has already taken place. I guess in hopes that something else bad will happen to the players and or University? I mean why else publish the article?

LHL obviously waited to drop this as long as they could. Surprised it didn’t come out the week of Ole Miss. they’ve know for quite a while. Probably would have waited but knew another outlet was bout to go with it.
Ok, so everything on this board over the summer that pinpointed exactly what the LHL wrote about was pure speculation from rumors? Because damn, this board has been absolutely spot on about all of these “revelations” for months now. Someboday at UK healthcare spilt the beans months ago correct?

OK, I simply misread it

Lolololol. Who gives a shit? Like, really?

What a joke. If these dudes were government employees they could lie on their timecards all they want and they couldn't be punished.

Other players get $500k and new car rentals every month. The problem is UK actually tried to make their student athletes WORK. They don't want to work. Just pay them money for an IG post and call it a day.

Yes, this was the issue, I think everything is fine now, it’s stupid they did it but it not a huge issue rodriguez has learned his lesson, Kentucky needs to move on

I think UK “has” moved on. I think what BWO posted is correct. The LHL “finally” got wind of the details and was “obligated” to publish the facts before someone else (“Courier Journal” ) did so.
I personally think this is over and no more will be made of it. However, with how the NCAA likes to slap certain schools wrists while looking the other direction while burning UKs campus down has my feathers ruffled this morning.

It's over and done with and honestly we already knew this was what happened. It is pretty stupid players were allowed to claim 40 to 50 hours a week worked during the school year and season as that is obviously not possible. I blame the idiots approving the time cards more than the players.

This needed to be fixed and now it has. I am glad the potential leak has been sealed because whether you guys want to believe/accept it, this could have been a lot worse. Similar activity in the past has resulted in bigger issues so I am glad UK can put this behind them and move on

Its a combo of UK being forthright about it and NIL nowadays.

I agree, the current wild wild west landscape of the NIL and UKs full exposure once it was learned probably kept this from being worse and I also agree from another poster that ironically this could help UK. Not only will C-Rod be fresh at game 5, its given UK chances to work on building depth.

The HL knew about it they didn’t want any backlash for the hospital,. How about investigate how much money the hospital got from Covid. It wasn’t even that much money it’s a joke because Crod could have got more money in NIL deal
