8.6 million

He’s not going anywhere. I wish he would, but no way. Did you all forget what extremes it took for Mitch to make a move when it came to Joker or BCG?

As long as he wins at least 6 games a year and fans have a nice weekend down in Nashville at the end of the year, he’s as safe as safe gets.

Everyone on this list is paid LESS money than Mark Stoops...and every last one of them is more successful .
Fan disgust with Stoops is because the program we support is not getting its moneys worth . We feel like we've been scammed .

1 million per win. Probably not getting our money worth this year.
O welll 8 straight Bowl games and next year 12 get in..... Keep working keep building

Meanwhile, 3rd year Missouri coach at 6 million has them in the top 15 and still alive for Atlanta.

Also had the ball against UGA down 6 in the 4th quarter.

Again, it’s one thing to lose. It’s a totally different thing to come out looking like the worst team in the NCAA every time we match up against a top tier sec foe.
Is there any DC in America that doesn't realize our 1st down call is a hand off to Ray Davis 99.9 % of time. It is so sad how predictable this coaching staff is. Oh it 3 and 15? Let's dial up a 5 yard out pattern 🤮

Against UGA and Bama, yes we should. We could have a $30M coach and not get the recruiting classes that those teams get. Games might be closer though maybe. We aren't going to pay that much for a coach though. At KY, $9M just gives you a winning program, not a top 10 program.
Laughable take.

You all are right, we should fire the winningest coach we’ve ever hired here and go hire someone’s defensive coordinator or are you all still thinking we get Saben or Kirby Smart?
Dumb take. Are u related to Stoops or something? I believe there are plenty of good coaches out there that would love to come here and coach. And they would be successful.

He's only the winningest coach because Barney gave him a 100-year contract.

And many who wouldn't come or wouldn't be successful. Every coach we've hired since Bear Bryant who didn't cheat, were less successful than Stoops. Your odds suck pal.

Also because he's had two of the winningest seasons in UK football history. And also because he has one of the longest bowl streaks in the country.

How do other teams that have similar talent to UK like USCjr and Mizzou avoid getting their asses beat against those teams?

It does when 5* recruits have their manhood challenged, which is what the situation when top teams play KY. The players and the coaches of those teams know that they cannot explain away a close call or a loss to KY. It really is not that hard to understand. To get over the hump, KY will have to find a way to top 10 recruiting classes
Can we get consistently in the teens first and let 9-3 become new norm. We dont have jump straight to playoff mode

They don't always and neither does UK. We played #1 UGA close a few years ago. We just don't do it consistently because we don't get the recruits to be able to do that. Neither did the other middle of the pack SEC schools. Everyone has a short term memory which I understand.

Wrong too you my friend. How many top 10 classes does UK have? I'll hang up and listen. I don't care how much you pay the coach here, our history stands in the way. Also teams like UGA and Bama are not going to "allow" a team like UK to beat them or even stay close. That would be the ultimate embarrassment. They are always going to approach this game like it is their superbowl. If you want to use your argument for Missouri or South Carolina, then you might have a point. But not for the type of team we are playing today.
Like Hell Alabama and Georgia approach a UK game as it was their Super Bowl. If that's the case, then how do they approach the Vanderbilt game, as if it is the biggest Super Bowl ever?

They can't lose or have close calls with Vandy either. Still making my point.

It's easy to go to bowls when you schedule South Central Lousiana State Women's School for the Blind at home 4 games a season.
So does the rest of the SEC. And Louisville has been/is ranked about half the times we’ve played them this Century, hardly SCLSWSB.

Yet, our bowl streak exceeds that of ten of 14 SEC schools.

Your attempts to get everyone here to accept mediocrity are pathetic and useless.

The bowl streak is meaningless. For one, they literally had a losing record during Covid- the one time stoops couldn’t be propped up by a lousy OOC schedule. But fact is more than half of teams go to bowl games- it should be the bare minimum expectation and it shouldn’t require a schedule full of layup games or the AD going to the mattresses to avoid an extra league game to protect that status quo. At least, it shouldn’t if the coach is being paid what CMS is making.

Lol.

My comparisons of Stoops’ career to Frank Beamer’s’, at the same point in time, and other posts are fact based, and objective.

I expected more from this season. But my disappointment in 2023 has not sent me into an emotional frenzy making me forget Stoops’ ability to lift out ceiling to ten wins in 2018 and 2021. And those seasons, along with strong and stable recruiting give me reasonable hope.

Constant whining and prophesies of doom are pathetic and useless.

The bowl streak is meaningless.
Tell that to those without one. For most of my life I watched the UT’s, the Auburn’s and the Georgia’s play in bowls in Florida called “Gator,” and “Citrus.” No, those teams were not playing for national titles on January 1st, but they were playing on January 1st.

The most prestigious bowl game South Carolina ever played in under Steve Spurrier was the Citrus Bowl.
