There are 6 names i have seen so far. At least 5 former 4 star or higher guys. UK offered Paul Tyson QB, King Mwikuta OLB, and Jahleel Billingsly TE out of HS. Tyson is the only one I know showed real interest

Probably this is why UKnhas been picky if taking portal transfer so far. You need to wait until all the talent is available before you start shopping
Just curious, of the ones in the QB room next year, who do you feel is capable taking over the reigns when Levis graduates? I'm not arguing with you just don't see anyone at this time that I feel can compete at a level to be near the top of the SEC and would love to hear your opinions.
Think Allen has looked OK when he has played, has not been asked to do much in mop up action. He is the most likely candidate. Wade was highly touted and Sheron (spelling?) has not seen the field yet, so hard to say. Out of those three, I think we can get a competent QB, I have confidence in Coen, the coaches will have 1 1/2 years to develop one of those three.
I give UK an A on what they've done with transfers so far. Have to believe that will continue.
CB from OK, Latrell McCutcheon, entered yesterday. 6'1", was highly rated. Worth taking a look.
I guess for me it's just that "unknown" factor that makes me hesitant to think any of them are capable of running the team on the level we hope to see. This is one time I wouldn't mind being wrong. 😂
I'm actually more worried about who's going to replace Coen than which QB is going to replace Levis. I think Coen will be a hot commodity next off-season.......
The word is that there are going to be some solid players from Bama and UGA that will hit the portal, including multiple 5-star recruits from the last year or two. Kids just want to play.

Stoops likes continuity so I’d think Woodward would get some major consideration. He’s pretty tight with Coen and I imagine knows this offense as well as any.
Yeah without Coen we have an even bigger concern when it comes to the QB.
Yep, I can't say for a fact but I expect a Cal QB will be hitting it soon, alone with a couple other named guys, a couple who started games for us. But like BJ says, kids just want to play. A starter who has a younger guy pass him has to be frustrating.
Sort of like how we took Joey Gatewood, a 4* Auburn QB signee that everyone offered?
Don't mean to start an argument, but there are limited number of spots available on the roster and in the portal (7 is the limit? I think . . . . ), and with four QBs on the roster, including one of the better returning starters in the SEC, just not a priority. Probably a moot point because no one worth a damn is going to transfer in to sit on the bench while Levis plays.
And while I was typing, I forgot about the 4* preferred walkon from Iowa, who is now our 5th QB on campus.
No limit on the portal, the rule for this year only was that we could take seven additional guys (32 total) as long as we had seven enter the portal. The only caveat is remaking under the 85 total.

Yeah, someone could probably do a roster breakdown to see how many spots we have but I’m not that motivated.
Yeah he’s gone unless there are just zero good HC jobs open in college, I could see Bill O’Brien finding himself fired and Alabama coming after Coen for OC, I could also see Kellen Moore getting a better job and Dallas needing an OC.
The Rams are good this year and they’ll be good again next year, and every time the Rams are having a great year the McVay coaching tree will be hot as can be.

O'Brien's likely headed back to the NFL, Saban will be hunting yet another OC. Dan Mullen perhaps?
That would fit the mold of Saban but I don't think Mullen did anything that would cause him not to get a HC job elsewhere. He was at the Championship game doing some broadcast work. May take a vacation this year with his buyout monies and grab a HC gig next year. I think he is still a good hire at the power 5 level, just didn't fit at UF with his quirky personality.
Maybe Mullen's ready to be an OC and let somebody else kiss the asses of 18-22 y/os. Sucking up to the next superstar QB or deep pocket alum is OK for some guys but others just want to coach.
Or.....maybe Mullen would see being Saban's OC as a way to weasel into Saban's job when Saban retires which you gotta think is within 2-3 years. I could see either scenario, just don't know Mullen's ego.
Mullen can't recruit and hates recruiting, so that will likely be a non-starter.
That's thought to be true but you never know. Of course, Prescott's a stud but he never could follow up on that at Miss St or UF. Did recruit a lot of talent to both schools however so he must be better than we thought or had a helluva lot of help. I still think a likely landing spot for him is as an NFL OC but you never know about the egos of these guys.
Speed is a great kid, great team guy, but in 5 years he just never found the wiggle in his hips to be a quality SEC DB.
Just seen Michael trigg hit the portal from USC. From what I read he is a brother to Mykel Williams, rumored it was why Williams originally committed there. I don't really see him as a fit with the TEs you all have though
