We were rolling, beating UNC, considered by many as the best team at the moment. They are on the rise and we are on the decline. What's the difference? The more that Cal works with/coaches this team, the more they will go backwards. This is a very talented team, but the Cal effect is in full swing. Mitchell's play of late is an example of that. Hubert has his team improving, and we are not.

Teams have a blueprint and once you get in conference play….those foes know you better and gameplan…hence Cal doesn’t do that snd it starts to show

Same thing almost every year since 2015. That 2015 team was handed the NCAA Trophy by every talking head before the season began. Kentucky had so much talent and was way above everyone else that there were talking heads publicly stating there was no need to even play the tournament. Somehow that team was a shell of itself by the time the Tournament started. Remember the beatings they put on teams at the beginning of the year? Cal somehow slowed down that team and killed their killer mentality. Been happening every year since
