5-0 start not out of the question......

The more I read, the more I feel like 5-0 is gonna happen.

If we start off 5-0 I really think we could end up with 9 regular season wins. When that happens, where are we going to place the Stoops statue?

in fact, I'm predicting it. We may actually be favored in 4 of the 5 anyway.

I do think 5-0 is out of the question. I fear that 2-3 is a much more likely result and I am hopeful that after the first 5 games UK will be sitting at 3-2 or better, with, in my opinion, 2-3 being the more likely outcome. Depth on the defensive side is going to be a problem against SEC competition. I really think this team is a year away from being reasonably competitive in every game. However, a little luck here and there and it could be totally different than what I think. My gut tells me this is going to be a 5-7 season with one SEC win at Vandy and a comfortable win over Louisville. I hope I am underestimating this team.

if we win at scar then we will probably be favored against uf. and if we win against uf we will be favored against missou. so we "could" be favored in 4 out of 5 but we have to win the scar game for that to happen. we lose that one and we won't be favored til eku.

If we start off 5-0 we could really tear the roof off this mother. It's a tempting scenario to consider. I think the team's performance in Game 1 will give us some insight as to the likelihood of starting 5-0.

I think we have to go a minimum of 7-5 to keep the momentum going. I have had my big blue glasses on for almost 50 years, and I am as excited for this year as just about any . . . I think we go 8-4 . . . but if we can manage to go 5-0, the sky is the limit!!! GBB

Actually that's assuming that Mizzou and Florida don't play well. My guess is that even with a win at South Carolina (which is going to be tougher than some predict) UK still won't be favored going into Florida or Mizzou unless it becomes clear by that point that Mizzou has significantly regressed and that Florida is even worse than analysts thought (and analysts already think they are going to win no more than 6 or 7 games).

Did not one publication predict Florida would not win a single game outside of Gainesville? We should have beaten them last year for crying out load. And we're on the way up - they're on the way down.

Don't misunderstand me, I absolutely believe UK should and will beat Florida, but I just would be surprised if the media favors UK to win many games. They tend to look at history and history has not been favorable.
