They kept showing the "foul" on Butler on the 3pt shot that the player made and then made the free throw. I still dont see the foul.

They’ve always hated us!Crooked or incompetent refs
That play highlighted it
Which is funny…because I’ve seen it called against us multiple times in the last 2 seasons….but never see it in any other gamesThis is something the rules committee needs to look at several players throughout the years have done this and nobody ever gets called for leg kicking. You can’t get within 3 feet of the shooter if they are going to let the shooter do this and benefit from it.
Hated us for years! They’ve always hated us!
It wasn't a foul, he kicked his leg out. Last game dude flopped and wasn't touched. How you not seeing that?Complain about the refs all you want, but fouling three point shooters is becoming a pattern. They're not all bad calls. Something that needs to be addressed in practice for sure.
They need to specify in the rule that if you don’t land where you jump from, then that doesn’t apply. At least when it comes to 3 point shots. You have to allow the shooter to land.

As I've said at times, in every game there are at least 4 or 5 fouls called when the replay from all angles shows no contact at all. The refs are anticipating fouls rather than calling ones they actually see. It could be bias or ineptitude, but neither is good. It's been going on for years. Maybe someone should remind the refs that you cannot call a foul unless you actually see body contact.doesn't exist
Was that when Hubbard hooked him? And received something beyond an NBA continuation? There was a foul called on Perry in the first half where Perry ended up on the floor.
A shooter has to be able to land and not have contact with defender. His landing space was blocked. It was a foul and will be 90% of the time when a shooter is not given space to land. The 10% that it is not called is a ref error. That is the rule.Crooked or incompetent refs

The ref's blew about 5 calls in that game, unlike the UGA game were they blew about 25 calls. They kept showing the "foul" on Butler on the 3pt shot that the player made and then made the free throw. I still dont see the foul.
Hubbard did it several times, where he kicked his leg out towards the defender- no idea how the officials do not see this as an offensive foulYeah, it's getting disgusting to watch so many 3pt shooters flopping. In this particular play, the MSU players (Hubbard maybe?) even pulled the Reggie Miller "leg kick" to exaggerate it.
Yeah but he jumped forward and landed within the 3 point line. His “landing space” was behind him! There should be no expectation of room to land if you jump forward. The defender has the right to that space.A shooter has to be able to land and not have contact with defender. His landing space was blocked. It was a foul and will be 90% of the time when a shooter is not given space to land. The 10% that it is not called is a ref error. That is the rule.

They also had a blatant travel at the beginning of that play. They kept showing the "foul" on Butler on the 3pt shot that the player made and then made the free throw. I still dont see the foul.
THIS! 100% correct!Yeah but he jumped forward and landed within the 3 point line. His “landing space” was behind him! There should be no expectation of room to land if you jump forward. The defender has the right to that space.
They sure didn’t call the foul when JR was hit on the hand more contact there than Hubbard leg kickComplain about the refs all you want, but fouling three point shooters is becoming a pattern. They're not all bad calls. Something that needs to be addressed in practice for sure.
Agree Lamont did not foul, but he did jump towards the shooter. The ref sees the defense then sees the shooter fall and blows his whistle. This happens in most of the games that I have watched this year. Seldom does the defensive player block the shot. Close out under control as the shot is already on his way, pray for a miss, then block the shooter out. The refs should not call the foul in most cases, warn the coach that the next time any of his players do the fake fall then a technical will be assessed. They kept showing the "foul" on Butler on the 3pt shot that the player made and then made the free throw. I still dont see the foul.
