Look at our expected mid sec early preseason ranking. Not a lot of the teams in the middle of the sec pack made the NCAA tournament.

Just this year 4 teams did just that.
One of the teams was 11-7 in conference
Another was 9-9
Another was ,,,,, 8-10

The 5th,6th,7th, and 9th place finishers in the SEC ALL made the tournament.
