2016 New Zealand recruit just landed in Lexington

1/4 of the active NBA players are not americans. Their are assloads of great overseas players, have been for years. Wake the fuq up.

LOVE this pic!

Even the ref* is biting his nails in nervous anticipation of the massive beat-down Ramel is about to put on display!

(*Yes... some say he has his whistle... I prefer to think of him biting his nails all the way down to the finger meat.)

How much wood can a woodchopper chop when woodchopper is out chopping wood..

..I see Coach Slice wore his Sunday best to meet him at the airport..

Let Texas or Villanova get the next Tony Parker. Seriously!!

But only if he's the Tony Parker playing for UCLA and not the Spurs.

He may not be good enough but I wish Cal would go back to the platoon system and give him a chance. I would like to see us have the two five man groups and truly tire the other team out. I think Willis at this stage in his development would have as many pluses as minuses. I like the way five fresh players can come in for the second time and wear the opponents down. We can win either way. And no I am not trying to tell Cal and the staff how to coach. I just think it would be a lot of fun to hear all the other teams fans complain about the announcers talking so much about the platoon system!

If we're talking Willis, it's because he's not good enough.

I can't find a lot on this kid. I think it's an interesting story. But, no idea how good he is. With 2016 looking loaded, and no idea who all we'll be getting back--not sure how much momentum we'll look to take with him early on.

Yesterday KSR reported a big man from New Zealand might be interested in Kentucky after announcing he was interested in playing basketball in the United States.

ICYMI: Tai Wynyard - a 6-foot-9 power forward, the son of two world champion woodchoppers, really - will visit Texas next weekend and will also look into visits to Kentucky and Villanova. Well. We can confirm he is at least interested thanks to this picture from Logan Johnson from the Lexington Airport.

According to Zagblog.com, Winyard will be in Kentucky today through Tuesday's Mizzou game[/B] and then head to Villanova ad Texas.
I trust cal's opinion

80% of the Spurs rotation is foreign born. Duncan (US Virgin Islands), Ginobli, Parker, Bellinelli, Mills, Diaw and
,Splitter . Basketball is booming all over the world. Many foreign players are highly skilled i.e. they can pass, shoot and actually make free throws! Think Sabonis. Speaking of great foreign born players, the greatest was probably Olajowan who was an excellent defensive AND offensive player.
So the issue isn't that he is from New Zealand ( or that he is white), the issue is can he play. Is he Enes with a New Zealand accent and no eligibility baggage.

Malone and Long are gone after this season with Lanter to follow after next season, so it's time we start looking at a few walk on prospects I suppose. This guy seems like a great candidate.

Yes, I'm talking Willis, and he doesn't get enough playing time to get better or prove he can play....He would fit in nicely right now in the platoon system until next year just saying...Give the kid more playing time to get experience....:)))
gotta agree........the kid hasn't had much of a chance ................he should at least get some minutes against a zone, especially when you starters are shooting horrible. He knows how to make an entry pass to the big guys inside, something that does not happen nearly enough. Yes his defense is suspect, but so was everyone else's in the 1st half Saturday

But, "everyone else" has the capacity to be great on defense. Does this guy?

But, can he do the Haka?

Would love to see it done at Rupp before a game if he comes here.
