2010-2011 Cats all over again

You are clueless. This also makes me question your UK Fandom even more.

Knight was a top 8 pick. TJ was 18th. Doron lamb went 42nd. Miller went 46th and liggins 53rd.

Those guys aren't close to that.
Where players (especially one and dones) are drafted/ how many are in the NBA is not the end all/be all when discussing college success.

I highly doubt that 2011 team beats the 2024/25 Duke, Gonzaga, or UF team that this year's version beat. Maybe they sneak one out, but not all three. No way.

The 2011 team lost to numerous teams that didn't sniff the tournament (and that was while playing in a very, very weak SEC, unlike this year), and were a last second Brandon Knight shot from going to OT against Princeton in the first round. That team had many flaws.

I think you are letting # of draft picks and a surprise tournament run that nobody saw coming cloud your judgment.

I mean y’all acting like 2011 UK was 2015 or something lol. That team was a 4 seed that got hot in the tournament. I absolutely loved that team and think it was Cals best coaching job but had it not been for a last second buzzer beater we would’ve lost in the 1st round to Princeton and that team would’ve been a forgotten memory.

Let’s break it down. There’s no a lot of difference between a freshman knight and senior butler. Owen and liggins are equal. Brea and lamb are equal. I’ll take miller over Robinson. The only significant advantage that team had over this one was jones. Considering how young they were there’s not a whole lot of difference
You’re getting too comfortable. The facade is wearing too thin.

That team with Brandon knight struggled to play well against sec teams on the road and we all know how well they played on neutral courts/home games. I can see this season playing out the same way. This team doesent handle the adversity of a raucous road crowd and their offense is so bad on the road. But when not on the road the offense is a thing of beauty
I agree. The Brandon Knight team had a slow start. They continued to improve and by seasons end they were much better. I hope this team can do the same but one thing that stands out to me is , the Knight led team had mostly 18 and 19 year old players. Team improvement was very noticeable. This team is made up of a few players that are 5 to 6 years older. We will see how it all works out.
