I don’t see a scenario where UK doesn’t lose 5 more games. Today will be one, they will drop at least two road games and then one in SECT and one in NCAAT.

The Cult of Cal is running out of real estate in terms of creating substantive arguments. You'll notice Mdwildcats, Gracetoyou, sk73, Sejonsey, DavidLee, SpamburgerEwok, JKwo, and a bunch of others have merely either hidden lately or resorted to sarcasm as a defense. They simply have no counter argument anymore.
Cal can't win with transfer guys, as indicated by his failures with Sarr, Mintz, Grady, Toppin, Reeves, Oscar, Mitchell, etc.
Cal can't win with elite freshmen anymore either, as indicated by his failures with Wagner, Edwards, Bradshaw, etc.
Cal can't even win with a nice mixture of freshmen and upperclassmen, as indicated by the last few seasons.
He just can't win at a high clip anymore.
Now that they've exhausted every possible "he just needs this type of roster" scenario in the book, the Cult of Cal only has one defense remaining, and that is playing on the emotion of fear of the unknown. Their current defense consists of making people afraid that A. we won't be able to hire a good coach to replace Cal and B. even if we do, they may not be able to win the current "transfer portal" era anyway due to their favorite deflection word: "parity."
I'm convinced that about half of the cultists aren't even real UK fans, or have expectations that are so low that they might as well not be Kentucky fans.

The South Carolina coach is out coaching the entire SEC. Yes they have lost some games but he has put on a clinic in the last three weeks. When is the last time that we said Cal out coached anyone?
Cal was out coached at his own camp, half the ladies know more about a zone then he does.
If Tubby had stayed here 15 seasons he would tanked even worse than he did last 2 seasons. He was smart to get out of dodge before the posse got him. He also would have been stuck on 1 final four 15 years later.
As for cal I'll say we lose 11 or 12. He sucks and we suck. I wish he had left n 2019 and all parties would have been better off 5 years later.

I'm definitely not saying Tennessee can't beat us. But they have bad offensive nights, and we are at home. ****in defend someone, drop 90, and we should eek 1 out.

Agree hire a high school coach for cheap until they get Cal payed off at least we have hope of it getting better.
I’m not sure Barney is capable of hiring a good coach.
But with Cal putting up BCG numbers, I don’t think we can hire anyone worse than Cal right now.
If we hire someone that’s not a drunk, I believe they outperform Cal.
Barnhart and Cal need to be fired at the same time in my opinion!
Imo- even if we win tonight I think we lose 10 games before the SECT. Tonight is a game that we might rise to the occasion- then promptly lose to Vandy.

True enough, and it wouldn't be anything out of the ordinary...some of our best teams have struggled @ Vandy against some really horrific teams...
If they lose both and drop to 5-5 and 6th place in the $EC, then Calipari should fall on his sword...
You know- I think he wants out but doesn’t want to lose $9MM a year. So he can’t quit and lose that money. However, the more UK fans and brass want him out, the more leverage he has in a buyout. Just my opinion.
That's probably right when you factor in the SEC/NCAAT. And you could substitute any of those L's with a clunker game.
I've been saying for a couple years now, we should bring in Dwane Casey as interim until we can fiscally afford the right hire. A top tier coach is going to want a top tier contract, which we won't be able to afford for a while, since the buyout will absolutely crush us.
