Saw something interesting yesterday. Tn (the #1 team in country) was only a -1.5 point favorite against an unranked team on the road. (They won by 2 on a last second shot.)

This is not Vegas disrespecting UT, but math nerds understanding the difficulty of winning on the road this year.

The SEC road schedule will be a tough gauntlet to run through. I predict the conference winner will have 4 losses and 3-4 teams will be hovering around 3-4 losses going into last week of the conference. The SEC tournament in Nville will be great, with multiple schools thinking they have a chance to grab a 1 or 2 seed in the NCAA tournament.

I think the conference winner might have 6 losses. I’ve never seen anything like the SEC this year. Saw a stat that this was the best win percentage for a conference versus other conferences in over 25 years.

I think it could be higher than 4. The last place team theoretically is still top 70 Kenpom. That is basically every team is tournament caliber.

Winning on the road is going to be next to impossible if both teams bring their best game. The whole season is just going to be a murder scene.

Maybe, I still think 1 or 2 teams are going to unexpectedly kinda tank in the conference portion of the season.

I am not sure who, but losing can be like a bad disease, and I think a couple teams are going to get in a bad funk and not stop the bleeding.

5-loss conference winner would not surprise me at all.

As many have stated, the key is winning all your home games, then stealing a couple you didn’t deserve to win. Pope has proven they can snatch victory out of the mouth of defeat. This is one (of many) things I like about having an older team. They don’t panic when they’re down on the road.

LSU and South Carolina would be the most likely candidates.

Not sure they will tank, but it’s kind of like Kentucky football this year. Technically good enough to beat anyone, but somebody has to lose the games. Don’t think everyone goes 9-9.
