I was just watching some of the old debates. Quayle compared himself to Jack Kennedy and was scolded by a senator who actually knew him - Senator Bensten. Quayle made a foolish comparison and got served. I made an analogy in the same order regarding Seldon and what it would actually take to lead his team to a title the way Kemba and other great players have in the past.

So yeah, it would actually require some background knowledge in order to understand, and even then, it was a stretch, but I'm not sure what it matters.

I'll try to keep the analogies/comparisons on an FM radio level next time for your sake.

I watched the '88 VP debates, and get the reference. It's still a stupid analogy. You don't need to dumb it down, I can keep up easily. It would be appreciated if the point you want to make isn't at best a stretch, or at the very least cleverly witty.
