We were up by close to 30 at one point and end up winning by 9. Defense and cal stupid stall ball is going to keep this team from winning it all.
We won and our guys basically let up because we were up 30.

Shep's lack of effort at a point when Georgia was making a comeback is beyond lazy. It looked like he didn't care because the game was over. Totally unacceptable.

33 minutes of really good rebounding and defense. 7 minutes of no focus. Kudos for UGA taking that as the disrespect it was and making Cal and the Cats feel a little less satisfied with the win.

Our defensive issues are not due to any single player and their ineptitude. Plenty of outstanding defensive teams had guys who were mediocre defenders and offensive specialists in the lineup. We are a poor defensive team because we don't defend well as a unit. Certain guys look exposed because they get put in impossible circumstances.

They let a 28 point game turn into a game late because they didn’t attempt to guard anybody for 7 mins at all. You do that in the tourney and you are heading home early

Yes, because that is the mindset Cal instills. When you are coached to not be aggressive offensively this is what happens. Cal will never change. Ever. We lost an undefeated season because of his unwillingness to change. He has to be the most stubborn human alive.

It's very tough to have strong offense if your committing a ton of energy on the other end.
You sort of have to pick which side of the ball you butter your bread with. I prefer offense and I dont even have to think twice.

Yet there was no worry. I don't doubt the team plays better in a closer game. We looked like we checked out. I don't expect that in a tourney game, especially a close one.
As angry as it made me, I think the ending was for the best. It gave Cal a reason to lay into them when they are ready to tell each other just how great they are.

I would take nearly any other coach in the country right now with this roster.
I have zero faith in Cal. He screwed up 2010 and 2015 so don’t think he can’t screw up 2024.
