••OFFICIAL ARKANSAS @ KENTUCKY GAME THREAD••

This is going to be a game we are just going to have to run and gun and just try to out score them because we can stop their guards driving and they are shooting lights out. We are basically letting 2 dudes keep pace with us.

Two damn layups missed because out guys are weak. Playing to the level of a shit team
I feel like, and maybe this is where they are young, they try to be cute or fancy instead of just being tough and smart with the ball.

Shepherd doesn’t really try to be fancy, he actually for the most part Plays under control and fundamental

We have the ability to stop them, but do we have the determination, grit and effort? That’s the question.

It's time for everyone to realize now 29 games in that this team isn't good at D. Luckily we are very good at scoring, we have to accept that and ride it as far as we can.
But to win in March you have to get atleast decent and Kentucky isn’t close to that. Arkansas is not a good team at all and they are getting whatever they want, by just doing iso ball shit

WE ARE BEEKEEPERS, BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ. TICKLE MY STINGER.

It won't end well in March though. Have to play at least average defense.
Plus the FAST PASTE they play at allows the opponent several more possessions. So they will score at a higher pace. I get that. But you can't continue to let them shoot lights out.
I completely understand but expecting it to somehow magically improve at this point is dumb. It won't, accept it and hopefully our offensive firepower can carry us as far as possible. That being said lets hang 110 on them, and win by 20.

He stills has one or two passes a game wheee you’re just like “Why?” He makes up for it for sure but those passes are infuriating when they happen.

So what starting 5 this half? Probably sit Bradshaw and go with the same lineup as we started the game with.

Here's the thing though. When we give effort we are around 50ish in the country type defensive team. When we don't we are around 150ish. That's the difference in winning and losing ball games like Gonzaga, Florida, A&M, UNC Wilmington and LSU.

Defense is the major factor I have that this team will not make a deep run NCAAT run. I certainly hope I’m wrong. But you can’t rely on out scoring the opposition every game. You’ve got to be able to get stops on D.

Kansas has totally fallen apart, and managed to do it while playing in a top-heavy Big 12.

Can you imagine what the SEC would do to those clowns?

How do we dominate a team like Bama get 37 point leads and struggle vs crappy Arkansas especially since we are shooting well from deep and the 3 to boot. Mind boggling.

I assumed an easy win today what was I thinking. I can even stomach to fathom a loss today and how that would derail all we have accomplished the past 2 weeks.

Im not gonna say our D isn't bad, but I mean dude, teams hit everything off their ass against us. I watch a lot of college ball and I don't see teams hitting half the crap these .500 teams throw up in Rupp.

Unfortunately I’m afraid we both know the answer to that. It’s been answered most of the year. We can only hope those two cool down.

The good news in this game is that DJ and Bradshaw are getting it going a bit. They both needed a game like this.

We're going to need all of our pieces to flourish in March.

In ways that LSU is the worst of them all. UNCW sucked but DJ was out and we were rattled. And early in the season too. Sucks and inexcusable but you can at least reason some of it.

There was NO reason to lose that LSU game. None.
