That’s why you don’t go zone. They’re not a good 3 point shooting team but every team shoots lights out in Rupp. That switch to zone cost us and was a stupid move. Needed to be up more since cal will start the bad lineup and we will be down soon after ARK starts the half on fire

Ugo deserves spare backup minutes at this point. He's not been bringing anything for a while now. Roll with Big Z primarily at the 5 and rotate in Bradshaw and Mitchell.
It's time for everyone to realize now 29 games in that this team isn't good at D. Luckily we are very good at scoring, we have to accept that and ride it as far as we can.

Guess you didn’t see the 15 layups they made. Giving up an occasional three playing a zone is better than allowing them to drive almost unmolested to the hoop for open layups.
He’s a total moron. Absolutely refuses to play zone EVER, no matter bad it’s needed. Then a team starts jacking 3’s every trip and he decides to go zone. He’s either incompetent or intentionally sabotaging.
Any soccer fans notice that Z gave the refs the VAR hand symbol when he wanted them to review that out of bounds play? Thought that was pretty funny.
Some never give any credit to our opponents. Arkansas is playing well today. Shooting it very well infact. Now has our defense been great? No...but that was a good half of college basketball.
I rewatched that last 3 for Arkansas and man Reed didn’t even try to fight over that screen at all, he just let mark walk right into a wide open 3
Glad Shows is doing this game. To be straight, I’m never actually glad when Shows does a game, but we ought to be able to win over Arkansas in spite of him and hopefully this means he won’t be doing either one of the two remaining games.
Nor wide open looks with their good shooters. I'd rather give up layups like the Alabama game.

There was absolutely no communication on that court on that play from any of the 5 players on it. Awful atm of the season.
It won't end well in March though. Have to play at least average defense.
Plus the FAST PASTE they play at allows the opponent several more possessions. So they will score at a higher pace. I get that. But you can't continue to let them shoot lights out.
We have to be the worst team in both of the major sports at finishing halves.

The worst thing you can do is zone a team in Rupp. I don’t care if Arkansas can’t shoot well, every team in Rupp shoots lights out. They’ll score on drives but we need to own the advantage on the 3 point line.
