I like Bradshaw seems like a great kid with a good attitude.
But, he gives us very little up to this point. I see no reason why Z shouldn’t get all of his minutes.

I do too, he’s the perfect player to come back and develop. Just sucks guys like him never do.

A statement can be true in the moment, and that statement was true when I wrote it. Everyone had gone onto the court to congratulate their teammates except for Edwards on two straight timeouts.

I think Edwards has done a great job for the level of scrutiny he gets. He just comes and plays whatever minutes he gets, does his interviews and keeps going. It has to be hard that he’s not having the year I’m sure he expected.
You have to understand this is really only Zs second college game with real minutes. He needs more time to get in the rhythm with his teammates and the flow of the college game. He is the missing piece to this team For them to do what they can. But Cal will burry him on the bench after tonight. Too much Ugo (stone hands) and bean pole Bradshaw.

I think there are a lot of Bennies that Cal speaks of. If you can’t see that Thiero is an absolute bad ass who makes things happen you are absolutely blind. And they are.
He played in spurts, and his only bad spurt was the last minute and 40 seconds of the first half. Unlike Edwards and Bradshaw, Adou is good to chill on the bench and rest his back rather than pad stats in garbage time.
Nobody else on the team finishes the lob that he did. Nobody else on this team gets his high as he does for tough rebounds in traffic. Nobody can defend the way he does.
If he does get healthy this year and Cal doesn’t play him 25 minutes per game that’s just another indictment on this coach.
Maybe I’ve just missed it but , I’ve never seen Edwards pouting off the court .
And lots of pressure in his ear . He’s certainly handled it better than Whitney.
He has lost himself millions of dollars. Hell yeah it’s hard.
I’m not a Bradshaw fan, but his mobility tonight showed why he’s getting drafted.
Ugo’s lack of mobility, hands, IQ will make it hard for him to ever get drafted.
But there are certainly nights in college ball where one has a better matchup than the other.
Not just him . His handlers are always in his ear about how much he’s costing THEM .
Somebody needs to teach Z how to bend his damn knees on defense. If I can teach church league elementary kids that skill for free.... surely to God Cal can do that for 9 million a year.
This was basically his 2nd college game with real mins although still only 12 mins, 11pts, 7rbs and 2 assist. Ugo 15 mins 2pts.
Watched Z specifically off ball on defense. Seemed lost often, a step behind. Thus the many fouls. And this was against a slow team. Needs to make a leap to get minutes.

Blocked an outside jumper late in the second half. Several putbacks and 7 rebounds. And a back-to-the-basket pass in transition to Burks for a dunk. He's fine.
