YouTube tv may not carry some tournament games

It will be resolved way before then. And for the tourney, Sling is a great option since it's cheaper.

Or just sign up for Paramount for the month of the tournament and then cancel. It should have everything.

This is the email I got from YTTV

With YouTube TV, our goal is to offer you the content you love, delivered the way you want it. To make this happen, we enter into agreements with network partners to make their content available on YouTube TV. As such, we’ve been negotiating with Paramount to reach a fair agreement that allows us to keep their channels, including CBS, on YouTube TV without compromising the value of our service. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we’ve been unable to reach an agreement.

On February 13, 2025, all Paramount channels will likely become unavailable on YouTube TV. If this happens, this will impact previous Library recordings from these channels, Paramount content in the Entertainment Plus package, and add-on services like Paramount+ with SHOWTIME and BET+. Should Paramount content become unavailable, we will continue to update our Help Center with the latest.

We know how frustrating and disruptive it is to lose channels you enjoy on YouTube TV, and we’re committed to providing you with the best possible entertainment experience. That’s why we’ll continue advocating on your behalf to offer you more flexibility in how you watch your favorite sports and shows while preserving the value of our service. It’s our goal to restore Paramount content to YouTube TV, but if we do not come to an agreement and their content is unavailable for an extended period of time, we'll offer our YouTube TV subscribers an $8 credit. You can still watch Paramount shows and movies by signing up for their streaming service, Paramount+, starting at $7.99/month. For more information on how we’re addressing our Paramount+, BET+, and Entertainment Plus subscribers, please visit our Help Center.

We hope YouTube TV continues to be your service of choice, but we understand some of our members may want to cancel their subscriptions. As always, family managers have the ability to pause or cancel anytime. You can find more information in our Help Center.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to work towards a fair agreement with Paramount. As always, we sincerely appreciate your YouTube TV membership.

I received this as well. Irritating as hell... I put up with this crap with direct tv for too long. I thought I had escaped it. Wrong...

Streaming is worse than cable
It definitely isn't worse than satellite. Since I have had YouTube TV for a few years this is the first time I have seen a contract dispute over channels. I used to see this all the time before when I had DirecTV and Dish Network. They were constantly at odds with different channels over $$$$$$$$.

Can you still go to ESPN and then click on the games you wan to watch for the NCAAT? You use to be able to do that even though there were on TruTV, TBS, TNT and CBS.
Highly doubtful ESPN is going to allow free streaming to CBS/Paramount games.

For games on CBS, I will just use rabbit ears to watch but will prob miss out on watching the 4 games, or however many is going on at the same time that YouTubeTV has on their multistream

I don't have Youtube TV but I have Youtube Premium and have watched all this year's games on Youtube. In fact, I havn't found a game involving two top 20 teams that was not streaming on Youtube. Yes, they're all illegal streams and likely all 10 seconds delayed but it works for me. You just type in "(team 1) vs (team 2) live stream" and there'll be plenty of different ones to choose from.

We enjoy Paramount Plus. Lots of good programming plus had NCAA games last year and also the Masters. I think you will have to get the Showtime package to get the PGA each week.

Landman is pretty explicit but Billy Bob is great. 1923, 1883, Lawman Bass Reeves. Longmire is there now. I liked Tulsa King and it has Aerial America and even Gunsmoke and Andy Griffith. The wife likes Fire Country.

Approximately $7 a month. Showtime package is more. It's a coffee at Starbucks.

Interesting. Didn’t know it carried all of that.

Get the March Madness app maybe? not sure if you can project it to your TV or not.
I thought about that too but i think you get like a five minute preview and then you have to sign in with your provider and if you choose YouTube TV, I can only assume it won't work either. They better get this fixed ASAP.

Paramount+ and Peacock are both really good bang for your buck streaming services.

YouTube TV is awful. That email is a bunch of legal bla bla bla. "But you can pay Paramount..,.."

Here, pay this. ({})

Ill bet $1 billion dollars that YTTV will have March Madness. These dramatics happen all the time and they are always magically resolved before any big games are missed.

Let me add that I THINK (it's been a year) that Paramount Plus will only have the CBS games. The TBS, TNT, etc games I don't THINK will be streamed there.

When everyone said "Cut the Cord" and join You Tube...
You had to know stuff like this was coming.

The Empire strikes back.
Prime Video
Disney
Paramount
Peacock
And on it goes.

Hulu Live works great for me. Also get about 1500 ESPN channels, or so it seems, and also get Disney. I went back to Hulu Live after the last YTTV price hike. I like having History channel and had to pay for a separate streaming service to have it with YTTV. You can't split screens with Hulu but that's the only downside I have found. YMMV

If nothing else, go to youtube, rogue uploaders stream almost every game, just click the live button.
