Cheap shot IMO, Chris had already scored and the kid took him out behind the knee.Good Lord he was a beast, first team Parade All-American on offense AND defense,
Danville man...Go AdsChris Jones, Man what could have been.
I was going to add both as George Adams trucked me in a game (interior defense line at Bryan Station) and I played with Marc Logan, Cornell Burbage and Monty Dawson. We were good but Christian County knocked us out of playoffs.I would add George Adams, Mark Logan and Raphael Little to that list also!!!
Thats a great list that i'm all too familiar with. I jumped the field at Neyland and got Greg Woods chin strap after we beat UT down there in 76. That minds me of another from that Era, Rod Stewart who needs some love.1. Sonny Collins
2. Benny Snell
3. Rafeal Little
4. Chris Rodriquez
5. Moe Williams
BEST THAT NEVER WAS(Promising career cut short by injury):
1. Chris Jones
2. Frank Antonini
UNDERAPPRECIATED:
1. Doug Kotar
2.Mark Logan
3. Al Baker
4. Greg Woods
FAVORITES FROM LONG AGO:
1. Rodger Bird
2. Glenn Shaw
3. Bobby Cravens
There is not real list without Sonny or Moe Williams at or near the top.You are showing your age by not including Sonny Collins on that list
Probably my order too, but hard to leave off Pinner and AdamsCollins
Williams
Higgs
Rodriguez
Snell

Great story! Re Rod Stewart...great player, Snell/CRod type thumper. Chris Hill another good RB of that era.Thats a great list that i'm all too familiar with. Mark Higgs will always be special in my heart. Loved him at UK and when he landed with my Dolphins I was ecstatic. Up and down pro career but, when he was healthy and motivated, he was very good.Once had four future NFL running backs on the same team:
George Adams
Mark Higgs
Marc Logan
Ivy Joe Hunter
It's a favorites list...🤦♂️There is not real list without Sonny or Moe Williams at or near the top.
For pure entertainment Sonny Collins, Mark Higgs were fun to watch.
You were like 3 when Collins played, you should remember him 😆Showing yours by telling me I'm showing mine...🤣 52 BTW.
An interesting thing is that CRod isn't "slow". He has broken several long runs (+50 yds) in his career and I don't recall him getting caught from behind very often.Moe was the best I ever saw in person. If Rodriguez was a little faster, he would of been the best we’ve ever seen.

Maybe not but Warren Bryant and Thom Dornbrook had pretty good NFL careers. There was no big blue wall or line in front of Sonny

I think they all 3 played together in 1975.Sonny was before them
Doesn't matter, all 3 were great UK players.Hmmm. Ok. My bad
IIRC, he had an injury late in his senior year at UK that really cost him.Sonny had a very short nfl career
Moe and Artose for me. Benny for third.1. Moe Williams
2. Anthony White
3. Chris Rodriguez
4. Artose Pinner
5. Benny Snell
They ran the veer with Fanuzzi and Campassi...totally different blocking schemeThere was no big blue wall or line in front of Sonny
See my list above, great unsung player.Who remembers Doug Kotar
😪Doug passed waaaaay too soon
I wondered if anyone would remember Chris Jones besides me. IF (capitals are intentional) my memory is accurate he was from Danville and showed great promise. I believe we held off Oklehoma to keep him at home. Wasn't he going to take over from Sonny? I just seem to remember the few times I saw him, he was electric.1. Sonny Collins
2. Benny Snell
