I don’t really see it. Yeah they can score but that’s only one facet of the game. Everything else they’re terrible at. And cal is a terrible coach

Only team that might be as or more talented is UCONN . No direction, focus , or discipline- that's on Cal
We have talent. We also have a stubborn, contrarian of a coach that that is willing to shoot himself (and his team) in the foot if he can keep from playing the best lineups that any simpleton would have on the floor.
Cal has to win by doing things “only Cal could ever think to do” otherwise he would rather lose. He needs the credit. Not the team.
AD won us a title? No, it was Cals genius strategy of winning with freshman if you ask him.
The man is his own worst enemy. Again, we have as much, if not more, talent than any team in the country. The question is how often are the right guys on the floor together…. And who is making that decision?

Change the record. Every year the pumpers do this. They berate and degrade anyone with a sense of realism and then when Cal underperforms it’s the players’ faults. Every year.

Loaded with talent. Says who? Offensive talent? Ok I’ll give ya that. But what about the rest of what it takes to be talented at basketball? You think they're talented as rebounders? Hell no. You think they’re talented as defenders? Hell no. So loaded with talent?? Bullshit.
It’s on cal cuz he recruits these players but every one of these guys is terrible except reed and dillingham who can inject a little offense at times. But they’re still a total defensive liability

How many coaches would rather have their current roster than UK’s? Purdue, probably UConn since they have guys on the roster with a national championship, maybe UNC with their veterans. Nobody else off the top of my head I’m certain of.
Maybe so. Bottom line I agree Cal is a terrible coach. This team could’ve had time to sync with the correct lineup but we had to wait a month for Cal to accept his chosen guys to be excluded. Im done with this shit. Gimme whoever wants to come aboard even if it means rebuild.

1. Oscar is a bad defender....we'll be better balanced when he's gone. (given how we are crap at coverage in high ball screens.....looks alot like it's not on Oscar too much).
2. We have no shooters.....this year we have Reed, Reeves and Dilly all above 40%
3. All the transfers are not elite talents....need to get back to high level HS kids. We'll Edwards, Wagner, Bradshaw, DIlly and Reed are as about as high rated kids you'll get in a class.
In the end, this is yet another Cal coaching fiasco. It's not the kids....its the guy running the ship. He's done.

Or how about the coach teaches them what to do in those situations or make adjustments to counter it? This is not on players. We have the worst game coach in division 1.
Players may not be as good as their ranking , but they’re good enough to have won today, given even an average coach.
I think it’s probably a little of both. Like I’ve mentioned before, I do think that some of our fanbase got a little ahead of ourselves with our expectations for what having the #1 recruiting class actually means in what’s widely considered a weak overall class. I’m not convinced that we actually have the overwhelming talent advantage that’s widely assumed in terms of who’s ready to contribute to a college team right here and right now.
With all that being said, we still have enough talent playing at a high level (especially Reeves, Sheppard, Dillingham, and Thiero) that it definitely feels like we could have and probably should have won a few of these games we’ve lost with a coach actually capable of making in game adjustments. Cal is clearly outmatched when he doesn’t have an overwhelming talent advantage and is the biggest part of our problem.
