I get a kick when after a win when people say “do you think he’ll take xxx job.” Don’t get me wrong, I like Stoops and appreciate what he’s done as far as moving the needle on recruiting and this program but you’re right in saying he’s an average coach. His style of play will get you 6-7 wins going forward but playing not to lose has been an issue. I also see the trouble with discipline every year and also we never come out of a bye week ready to play EVER. That’s all coaching and accountability and we’ve lacked it during his tenure. Also, I’m not a huge White fan and have never been and every year someone is talking about how he’s a genius. I’ll give him a pass today on this bend/don’t break philosophy because our secondary was thin but it’s cost us some games over the past few years.
