Rowland says think Cummings but he reminds me more of Upshaw. Couple of years away but looks like a player.
The staff has been solid at evaluating, but does this mean anything about who they can’t attract?
I see Cummings as well but would freak if he’s a Upshaw. One of my fave players for sure.
Add 40 or 50 pounds with his speed he could be a real steal. He camped at UK, does anyone know if he camped anywhere else? The Coaches got a good look at him at their camp against some good talent.
I know he’s an instate kid, but hard for me to get excited about an unranked receiver. Just last year, we were getting 4 and even a 5 star WR. I’m getting concerned about this class.
They’ve been doing this since the beginning, so I’m not thinking in to this more.
Stoops has one of the best eyes in all of college football for evaluating a recruit's future ability to contribute and thrive. Hard to question him on a kid with all of the measurables needed to succeed.
I wouldn’t be concerned at all.
Kid is a phenomenal athlete and COULD end up on either side of the ball.
He will not be counted on early so the coaches can decide where he best fits. If not TE/H back he could be an Edge guy with those measurables!

Are you joking you don’t remember CJ Conrad or really don’t remember one of UK’s best TE’s the last decade? But I also think Marrow was likely referring to Allen.
This is it. It wasn't a positional comparison. Both unranked guys that the staff is high on.
I'm wondering a step further. The kid has said Marrow changed his life. At 4.5 he isn't fast enough for an SEC WR. I wonder at his height and speed if they think they can turn him into an edge rusher like Josh. He'd have a lot of muscle he'd have to put on.
I agree here…do we really need another TE? We have Dingle, Lemaster, and Kattus that are Fr or yet at UK now in TE room
Edge rusher at 6’4 to pack some power doesn’t sound like the worst idea. But looking at his physique …he’s pretty lean kid. It will be a long road to put rhe strength on him to play in Sec trenches
4.5 is really fast, especially at his age and size
I saw Marrow said, after the commitment, that he reminded him of a player they got in 2015. I would assume it was one of those guys.
Maybe he is a late bloomer and will be ranked when he starts playing this fall.

Josh Allen played some defense and also played WR. JD may end up on D!!!
I'm pretty sure I read it was a laser timed 40. Which means he's just as fast as all those hand timed 4.3's that every High school player throws around.
Is it a recruiting win if he doesn't develop into a starter at some point? I'm not stating that because he's unrated, but I don't see how anyone is a win if that doesn't happen.

Coach Stoops and his staff have shown time and again they can spot and develop talent. If they like this young man and what he can do, I’m on board. I’m sure more highly rated guys are on the way
I'll take 6-5 200 lb. 17 year olds that run a legit 4.5, and have good ball skills. Can any of our current TE group run a 4.5?
