Xavier's Dailyn Swain will Visit Kentucky & Arkansas

Texas spent 16 million dollars on a roster last year. The results are irrelevant. They have money to spend. And that is last year's number. Who knows what they are investing this year? Compare that to the 6 million in NIL Kentucky is reported to have available and the disadvantage becomes crystal clear. Yet, many on this board flat-out refuse to see it and spend most of their time attacking anyone pointing this out. That's such a fruitless endevor and I'm convinced they are mainly trying to convince themselves.

In their tourney loss to Illinois I was impressed!
27, 8 boards, 3 assists, 3 steals, 0 turnovers and 3-5 from 3.
Love his game and what he can develop into.
Me too, I was hoping we showed interest in him. His team mate Conwell is solid as well.

I don't understand the fit with this one.

that's fine if you have the scorer's, which UK does not have at this time.

He seems to have pretty good handles, and he shoots well from the perimeter. Plus, with his length, it should/would add to perimeter defense/rebounding. For the SG/SF positions, I could totally see a rotation w/Oweh, Jasper Johnson, Kam Williams, and Swain.

Plus, at 6'8 220 lbs, Swain could also give you a small ball PF option for spot minutes...especially if Kam Williams at 6'8 200ish lbs was
at the 3.

Not saying that's how it will happen, but just saying I CAN see how it would fit. I know that introduces the question of mins/game with all those guys, but that's a discussion between them and Pope.

read somewhere today that the SEC set the record for$ earned from the SEC by sending 14 teams to the tournament. I forgot what the amount listed was, but it was a lot. How is this $ distributed? Is it equally divided or is it based on each team's advancement?
Going by memory here, but the revenue is divided evenly kinda and accumulated by way of units. I think the schools directly get money based on participation in the bowl games, college world series and the NCAA tourney. So the SEC must hold a little back for the schools who perform well in those big revenue post season actions.

Fantastic defensive player. He is capable of scoring inside and driving. He put up 27 against Illinois. I wanted him and Conwell when Miller left for TX

We already have a Swiss army knife so this kid was kinda redundant. We also have chandler and Noah getting sf minutes too.

I'm not bummed. Glad to be honest. 25% 3FG and a guy who struggled to score most of the year. Would rather not have a guy play 20+ MPG who is not a threat on one end of the floor (same could be said about a guy who is all offense and no defense).

I think this “recruitment” if you can call it that show how quickly things in the portal change and how not serious a lot of guys are about a lot of schools. Just using them for a pay boost.

**** them all just make them assholes over pay that should be Pope’s next job. Here is what Pope should do if it isn’t one that Pope really wants just go after them anyway. I would do it for say instance another SEC school and drive that process right through the damn rough.
