Actually, they can't. We still have a midweek next week that I imagine he'll start in. Would actually prefer that they move him to the weekend and use him in relief and let another guy start next week. UK has 7 pitchers that have thrown 5 innings or less this season. That is a lot. Get them a bit more work in that midweek game and see how Lafferty does with a step up in competition. Could really use Hise being even remotely reliable. He was a former SEC weekend starter and UK has had him for at least 2 years and he's not progressed at all. Still, he's an arm we might need in the NCAA tournament, so see if we can get his confidence up.

They should rest most of the starters and let some little used guys get some play next week against Wright St. Especially if we manage to win the series this weekend. That game is meaningless at this point.
