For anyone dumb enough (like me) to think THIS Wilmington is the same as THAT Wilmington, it’s not. Whew. Wilmington College is a D3 in Wilmington OH. Gotta be honest, I saw that score and immediately thought bad stuff.

The Air Force museum at Wright Patterson is fantastic and gratis.
We've taken multiple trips there and always enjoy it.
I work in Cincinnati, have customers all over the tristate, Ohio / Kentucky / Indiana area. Up around the base there is a ton of conjecture that Area 51 is actually there. Supposed to be all kinds of alien stuff in that area. I know that I have several customers right beside the base where they cannot use cordless phone devices, old type 900mhz or 2.4ghz type cordless phones. Base jams all that communications like that. Pretty interesting place up there. Love going that way due to Centerville having an original Godfather's Pizza there still in business. I always stop and get a pie to take home.

I always hit up the Harlan Rax when I’m in the area. And used to hit the Huntington G.D. Ritzy’s, now sadly closed.

wright state wouldn’t been a game I schedule first. I would have tried Jackson state or Mississippi valley state first, to get a feel good win. Wright state is a solid mid major, so is bucknell. The cats are gonna have to earn both of these wins.

Good grief man, give me a break. The exhibition games were “feel good” wins. It’s time to put big boy pants on. You are still shell-shocked by Cal’s merry band of freshmen.

Where in any scenario the last 3 years have I led on that I’m a cal fan boy? The exhibitions are not the same thing as plying a D1 team. All I said was I wouldn’t schedule a team like wright state first. I would get a different team. Kentucky should still win either way

Wasn’t what I was implying at all. I’m saying you have gotten so used to super young, deer-in-the-headlights Cal teams that you don’t realize what we have this year. This is a group of veterans dude. They aren’t gonna lose to freaking Wright State or Bucknell in Rupp Arena. Not to mention they actually have a real coach now, not a salesman.

yes I agree pope is refreshing change

Wright state was the first regular schedule opponent Mashburn’s last team faced. We definitely won and did it without too much awful much trouble, ultimately, but they still gave us way more of a challenge than we were expecting.

I remember in that game a Wright State player took a shot and Mash jumped up and stopped it mid-air with one hand. Before he hit the ground he redirected it to one of our guys (can’t remember who) as an outlet pass. Despite our struggling a bit against a team that should have been overmatched on paper, that was a sign of great things to come.

Here’s hoping we get some kind of echoes of those trends Monday. I definitely want Wright State to play us as tough as absolutely possible because our runway to prep for Duke is so short. Will really prefer if Amari can see at least ten minutes of solid action in this, which I see as our best dress rehearsal for Duke.

We all have grown weary of the past!

Their starting 5 did the bulk of their scoring last year. Three of those starters are gone. This includes their top 2 scorers and their 5th best scorer.

It’s one of the experimental airforce bases so a lot of the new plane technology is developed/ironed out there once it’s airworthy
