Coaches aren't allowed to comment, so officially we don't know. Can I get the cliff notes version? He tweeted he wanted an Ole Miss offer and our coaches pulled his offer? Or he decommitted hoping or thinking he would get an offer?
That is my thinking as well. If you're an elite prospect like Jarren Williams then we keep recruiting you. If you're a decent prospect like Gaskin, you get told to move on.Don't see that he has an OM offer. Net, I'm thinking our coaches told him to kiss off.
He must not be that great since Bama didn't offer two days after he committed. It sounds like another case of a recruiting committing early to set an early bottom floor and then trying to see later if he can improve on it. Again these things are sadly the norm with football commits and we need to hold off on freaking out.
Apparently they didn't. But if he were good enough they may offer him Laremy Tunsil benefits or the LaQuan WR (last name escapes me) benefits that showed him on social media in a pic with wads of cash. No coincidence they started landing top 5 classes. What were they offering?

Oh no, where will we ever find another 3* WR?!?!?!? Especially with offers from Bowling Green, NC State, WVU, Illinois, and FAU???
Not to bash the kid, but if you cant stay commited to a place for a full month, you were never ready to commit. And if the Ole Miss tweet is true, that just shows a lot of immaturity. Take a chance on an immature 4 or 5 star? Yeah probably. Take a chance on an immature 3 star with an unimpressive offer sheet? Ill pass.
Never understood why we take these guys. They should be a fall back option after ABCD has committed elsewhere. Isnt he a low 3 star at that?

Ole miss and tweeting is a bad comboCan I get the cliff notes version? He tweeted he wanted an Ole Miss offer and our coaches pulled his offer? Or he decommitted hoping or thinking he would get an offer?
I liked your post, but now watch him blow up, our coaches know talent.
Besides, how can he get an offer from Bama if he hasn't been offered by us, lol.
He is a legitimate SEC prospect, with size and athleticism to play for us and be productive. He is a stronger athlete than our 2 other current wide receiver commits. It didn't move the excitement needle because nobody here knows much about him, and because the class in general is shaping up well. Given the level at which Stoops has been recruiting for the last several years, I don't think we should worry about this decommit. It's only May, and Stoops has other capable receiver prospects on his recruiting board. These early commits and decommits are becoming more common, but the list that matters is the list that signs with us next winter. Not to disrespect this young man, but his "commitment" to UK didn't seem to move the excitement needle one iota after his announcement.
If he really wants to play at Ole Miss, then he's not that smart.
Next!!!!
Is that actually accurate though? Those classes were highly ranked but the guys that made those classes special didn't rs and are going pro after 3 years.Wildcard is right, all this committing and decommitting is because of people like us sitting on the edge of our chairs waiting on this kids to announce their intentions.
As far as wanting an OM offer, I can't imagine why. They have a chance to be very good this year, could be the 2nd most talented team in the West, this year, will be decent next year, but after that the effects of the sanctions and bowl bans will kick in. Their soph, jr\ and sr classes are the best they could buy.
