Would You Want Someone Who Has Shown To Be Unethical & Dishonest Working On Your Home?

First of all I want to make it clear that I do not condone violence, death threats or destruction of another individual's business or property in a violent manner. With that said, I would like to pose a question to BBN.
Should any of us need to have work done on our home of a major nature, such as home repainting, major electrical wiring project, installing a new bath or replacing one's roof, do we want to feel like we are dealing with some one who is honest , fair and is some one who will do what is within the scope of dealing fairly, morally and ethically with us? This is important, as you want to feel you are getting fair pricing, quality workmanship and you know that if there is a problem, you can count on the contractor to come back and make it right.
John Higgins exhibited in his officiating, that he is NOT ethical or moral and cannot be trusted. If he cannot be trusted to officiate a college basketball game fairly, how could you have any confidence he would deal with you in good faith when thousand's of dollars are at stake. I would certainly not be willing to take that chance.

What a stupid post/topic..I can't believe I even read the ignorance that is this thread topic and that I am wasting time responding to it..So what if the guy some bad calls in the UK/NC game..we had our chances in the 2nd half to right the wrong..5 point lead with 5 mins left in the game and NC goes a 12-0 run..was that Higgins fault? Did he make us miss the front end of a one and one? Did the entire team miss 9 FT's in the game because of Higgins? Did he block any of UK's shots? Did he make our Freshmen guards, who once again looked at NC zone as if they had never seen a zone before? Did he make NC start 2 Seniors and 3 Juniors of which most of them played in the championship game last season? Did he make Cal try to win again with a Freshmen dominated lineup? What I have read and heard that some UK fans have done and wrote to Higgins is nothing short of pure ignorance in my opinion. It shows how shallow their individual life's are that they can't handle UK losing a GD BB game..I was upset after the loss but I have moved on..I have a life to lead and a family to take care of..I don't time or the energy to fret over a few bad calls in the BB game.

Asking if Higgins would do a good job on your roof because he bad some bad calls in a game (there were 3 refs in the game and not all of the calls were made by Higgins by the way) is about as stupid a comparison that one can make..I blame a lot of the fuel for this firestorm against Higgins squarely at the feet of Matt "Jackass" Jones who seems to have a following of the 12-15 years and adults who act like kids..Get over the game and move on..do you think they are going to replay the game because a portion of the UK fan base are pissed at Higgins..I don't think so..NC is going to play Oregon Saturday and Cal is getting ready for the NBA draft and spending his time selling his players to the GM's of the NBA..

Officiating sucked. I don't know if it was worse than some other games we had this year though, only a bigger stage.

I said multiple times during the game that we had bad calls. I also thought a couple on UNC were bad.

At the end of the day, there are many things that happened that prevented us from moving on. The officials may have played a part but they weren't the only factor. We had our chances

The people who continue to justify trying to ruin a guy's full-time job because of his (atrocious) officiating in a game boggle my mind, though it does give a good indication as to what kind of moral code they have.

Was I pissed after the game? Absolutely. Do I want to see Higgins ref another second of a UK game? Never. Do I think his officiating give people free reign to blast him non-stop on line and screw with his roofing business? Not at all.

The internet, for all the good it has done, has also brought out the absolute worst in many. This thread (and about a zillion others since Sunday) has proven that. With that said, I would love to see a wide-reaching investigation into college/pro officiating and how it ties into Vegas/gambling. Not saying this was the case with Higgins, but I do think it could easily play a part in how games can be officiated.

Higgins almost single handedly prevented our players from playing at a competitive opportunity that he provided the UNC players due to biased and atrocious calls against Ky. Consider the fact that should our players have played in and won The Final Four, it could very probably have raised the draft stock of numerous U.K. players. Do you not think for a moment that Higgins, by his dishonest play calling affected numerous business opportunities for some of our players?
Pure and simple the fact is this. This whole situation needs to send a signal to Higgins and people like him.
