Worst basketball loss in your lifetime. Please vote on Twitter.

Worst loss in my lifetime (born 1980)? Oh nothing even comes close to 2008's home loss to Garden-Webb...in BGC's second game as our coach. That's got to be the shortest coaching honeymoon ever! :p

Loss to Jacksonville in 1970.
Loss to UCLA in 1975

Royally screwed by the refs in both games.
By a stroke of luck, I sat next to George Raveling ( then coach at Wash, St.) for the UK/ UCLA final in 75. Struck up conversation and he told me "Son, don't get your hopes up. They will not let Wooden lose his last game." He was right. He detested Wooden, and was adamant that he got away with murder in PAC 8 games.

defintely the Wisconsin game. That hurt a lot. We had an off night, the stakes were high, and they just played with the will to win.

BBN can u please help me out and vote on my Twitter poll and retweet. Twitter only allows 4 choices. Others would include West Virginia 2010,2017 UNC,2003 Marquette, both 2011 and 2014 vs UCONN

I loved the team of the 1969-1970 season, Rupp's last really legitimate contender for a national title. Dan Issel was a scoring machine, averaging nearly 34 points a game with Mike Pratt contributing almost 20 a game. Mike Casey was supposed to be on the team but had suffered a broken leg in a summer car accident and sat out until the 70-71 season. He likely was the missing piece to make the Cats nearly unbeatable. Kentucky lost to a very good Jacksonville team--no fluke by any means but lost a hard-fought battle against Artis Gilmore 106-100. Issel was baited by Vaughn Wedeking as they were both running down court and was called for charging, his fifth foul that virtually sealed it for Jacksonville. I was 14 and was devastated, experiencing for the first time some serious emotions involving my beloved Wildcats.

Over the years, we've been so lucky to enjoy a program of the very highest order of merit, but coming with that distinguished history has been the true devastation felt in our core of some crushing defeats. No program is exempt from that, but having to swallow them has not been made any easier because others experienced them as well. No question for me, this 1970 loss was the worst.

I was a kid but still remember the 92 Duke loss and that crap shot. Most recently I would definitely say the 38-1 Wisconsin loss. We win that game and I believe we hand #9 easily against Duke.

Hands down- the Wisconsin loss, I was absolutely heartbroken and devastated.
That loss legitimately changed the way I look at / invest myself into Sports lol

I was one of the few who was on this board the night of the Notre Dame win saying we were in trouble. I knew a loss was coming. So it didn't devastate me the way it did others. I just saw too many flaws in our team that went unnoticed because of a weak SEC schedule, depth, and a few big blowouts (Kansas) etc.

Don't get me wrong, it ranks up there. We were so close, but to me at least there are bigger losses.

1997 championship
2014 championship.
2005 elite 8.
1992 elite 8.

IMO all worse losses to endure than '15. I was 7 in 1992 and remember me and my father staying home from school and work. My first memory of Kentucky.

But ya know, you can take my opinion and a dollar to your local strip club and yea...

I will say that I think Notre Dame and Wisconsin played harder and seemed to want it more than we did. We got beat to a ton of loose balls and 50-50 balls in those two games. Also, we didn't rebound worth a shit. So there's that. I can see where you're coming from.

I really do see your logic in picking those games. But we were so close in 2015 and were supposed to get that one. The prospect of going undefeated too. I still think we were better than Wisconsin.

I'd have to say it's the Wisconsin loss in 15 for me. My brother and I were in Indy for that one. The worst part about it was hearing all the shit talking from Wisconsin and Duke fans after the game about how we were 'overrated':uzi:
