Worse than Cal

Fair point. But this isn’t any better. And I see nothing in the way of adjustments. He needs to crush the refs. They are awful.
well, did he crush the refs, at least ?

some people on this board really need to learn two things :

1 - don't post stupid threads during games
2 - don't post stupid threads during games

life can be easier and much more enjoyable that way.

just sayin'

This thread is obviously full of crow. Lol

But I do think it's worth asking, why are we looking so poor to start games? Pope's adjustments have been huge against Duke and Gonzaga. But if we want to win 6 in a row come March, we have to fix these poor starts.

It sort of makes me wonder if Pope is just squeezing every last ounce out of this team. Sort of seems like his coaching job last year, turning BYU into a 6-seed when they had no business being one. Heck of an impressive coaching job.

Perry played one trip and missed a three. Only guy on the team that has been taken out for a missed three. It's one thing if the rest of team is rolling, but who else is on a one shot leash? I hate to do the Kentucky kid thing, but the rest of the talent here is not much better.
Perry was only in to give Kriisa a breather

Mods should pin this thread.
Look at all the Debbie Doubters.
The despicable Trolls.
Look at all the Pope slander.
Players getting slandered.
GO CHEER ON ANOTHER TEAM.
GAMES ARE 40 OR 40 PLUS MINUTES NOT 20

Lol Cal sure as hell is not my boy. I’ve been out on him since after 2017. I’ll take Pope any day of the week, but that still doesn’t mean I am not disappointed in this current game
How does that taste this morning, HUH? How can you be disappointed? We WON, or did you slam the TV against the wall and go to bed? you missed the 2nd 1/2..Dude. it was great for our part. Have a happy day.

I can understand the premise. However, he had to go to a zone/morphing zone to slow down their PG. had Butler been available, that first half would’ve looked totally different.

I confess. I was wondering if the Cats have what it takes in the first half. But all the while I was wondering how Pope would adjust during half time. He didn't disappoint. What other Coach has had a comeback of this magnitude without a true point guard on the floor? Amazing coaching job.

I see it as the opposing coach has devised a game plan to stop UK. We sometimes think that "hey I wonder why we come out flat...or not executing?" I think that has to do with the opposing coach and team. Not always, of course, we can come out flat...but maybe our opponent has something to do with it.

I'm very thankful that our coach can and will attempt to counteract our opponent, and our team then listen and executes.

These are new and different times.

OP, you’re welcome to root for Arkansas. Cal took all his players with him and said FU to the Kentucky fans and University. He had no succession plan and departed like a POS.
To be fair, with the rules for transferring the way they are, lots of teams who lose their coach look pretty bare after the departure. Pope left his school without much of a succession plan. In fact, he left with less time than Cal. Not sure how many they returned, but again, I think this is much more common across the board.
