Tonight on espn2 See two World team members Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Nick Richards play. Representing the USA will be Jarred Vanderbilt, Quade Green and two UK hopefuls Bamba and Kevin Knox play. Quade Green suffered a concussion yesterday and is not expected to play.

Game time 9PM Central

If you check out Twitter, Jarred Vanderbilt has been one of the 2 or 3 most impressive players on the US team during scrimmages.

Playing the point forward role, hitting jumpers, making great passes. Of course tonight, he'll either look like crap or barely get to play. Starters are supposed to be Bamba, Carter, Porter, Trent, Jr, and Duval.

It's stereotypes like this that make me hope he goes along with it and wears a red, yellow, and green headband with a pot plant for a logo on the very front of it, and come up with his own Johnny Manziel'esque shtick to go along with it.

As long as he plays like Bill Walton did.

Not hitting jumpers has been his problem. If he can become consistent the sky is the limit.

Nice of them to start four future Dukies in the same lineup.

They did the same thing at the McDs game, Bamba was on first team for East with Carter, Knox, and Duval. All the UK guys were on second team, although Washington did switch out and play with first squad some. Coach of that McDAA East team just happened to be Grayson Allen's high school coach. Hmm.

I'm not sure the Hoops Summit lineup is as obviously, egregiously pro-Duke, since that is probably just the five best guys, although you could argue Sexton over Trent, Jr.. Coach of that team is Miles Simon, assistant coach is the Dematha coach Mike Jones. I think Quinn Cook played for him. We haven't gotten a Dematha kid in a while - since Bogans maybe? Fultz played there and supposedly grew up a UK fan, and ends up at Washington.

BTW - I still kind of think Duval is playing Duke, and he'll end up at Zona, KU, or overseas.

I hope he pulls out a 2 foot water bong and blazes at center court. Takes a huge hit and blows it in the ref's face and then proceeds to have 20 points and about 15 boards to go along with about 8 blocks. That would be epic.

just not high enough in ranking. Since its USA versus International. There are very limited spots open.
What rankings are you looking at?ESPN has Washington 14th Vanderbilt 23.....Rivals has Washington 11 Vanderbilt 21st

Bamba with strong rebound, getting roughed up. Porter made a sick move but missed the finish.

Nick just picked up his second foul. Was a tad foul prone in H.S as well. Will probably be that way for half of next season ala Bam before he learns not to be

About what I suspected. Vanderbilt one of the three most impressive guys in scrimmages this week, and he is the last guy off the bench. He and Green are only players who haven't seen the floor yet.
