I think it is the same HS Kiyaunta Goodwin went to but now I can"t find the article. Can someone help me ?
Why did he move there ? If I misread I apologize
Isn't he the top ranked player in the state and we want him badly ? 6ft5 315 lbs

Hope Charlestown HS isn't specializing in resolving them.
Idk if that is for sure where he went. I thought I read New Albany. I read his parents had held him out of visits/camps all summer to work on grades. He hadn't been to UK in awhile because of this. If he is at Charlestown, it is prob similar to Goodwin and working out with the same trainer

He is an Aspirations athlete. I do know that from reading around. As for my prior question, I'm not making an accusation, just expressing concern. Not sure if he's off to Charlestown.

Aspirations Gym. In Louisville, run by former UL fball player Chris Vaughn, lots of elite HS athletes go there for training. The players he trains locally have chosen UK frequently. Goodwin, Wandale among many. Vaughn & Marrow have a great relationship.

Those type of gyms are becoming pretty popular. Terrance Edwards has a receiver school in Atlanta. Even the lit t le town I live in has one, former SEC BB player runs it and a couple softball complexes with pitching and hitting instructers.

KSR article today said he went to New Albany HS. Looks like he will end up at UK if has his academics lined out. Hopefully he does it right as you were saying

Surprised Lou St X didn’t grab him. 8 football players off 1 public middle school team!
———-
Tuesday evening Marty Polio met with JCPS athletic directors and principals to discuss recruiting concerns. Eight eighth grade students that attended the new W.E.B. DuBois Academy opted to attend St. X, rather than stay with school through their high school years. All eight are talented football players. Pollio filed a formal complaint to the KHSAA for illegal contact between St. X and the middle school students.

“I was a little taken aback by how open some of the conversations were between coaching staff and players,” the JCPS superintendent told Courier Journal reporter Jason Frakes.

Having 8 move to X is a bit fishy, but if it had been more like 2-3, then that kind of thing happens all the time, especially in families who want their kids to go to St. X or Trinity to get them out of public schools or to raise their profile. not a public to private situation, but my nephew, before he got into kicking, was a high level soccer player, played on traveling squads, etc. when he was at Christian Academy through middle school. but because CC's soccer program was pretty bad, he wanted to go to a higher profile program, he ended up at Trinity where he played soccer as a freshman, then found out how political it was. He took up kicking that year and played both for a bit before giving up soccer to focus on his kicking, now he's the best kicker in the state and one of the best in the country.
