It was right after another false start so has to be because of that I would think. Pretty sure that was Wolford the OL coach. If we are stuck with Stoops next year, I expect Wolford will be fired for sure. Maybe even Hamdan. Then we can hire a 7th OC under Stoops to be mediocre.
Why in the name of Hades did they bring Wolford back.

Isn't Wolford another Youngstown guy? They probably have a "special" relationship... i.e. familiar enough to have a fight like family, and make up the same way? This season is going to tell on the staff.
I was watching it and it was Wolford, and I think Stoops was yelling at Wolford for the second false start and it looked like Wolford started laughing
Maybe coach said something funny about the responsible player? Did it get heated after Wolford laughed?
It was after about the 5th false start. I’d be pissed at my assistants too. Between holds or false starts we have way too many drive killing penalties. One holding call turned a manageable 3rd and 2 into a 2nd and 24.
The holding penalties are from our guys being so badly outmatched talent wise
Then you get 2 OL tackling Walker with no call.
The holding penalties are from our guys being asked to do something they are not capable of. No slow developing pass plays, get rid of the ball , it’s not rocket science, run plays they are capable of executing.
Good, shows fire. Remember I think it was Jerry Glanville slap one of his assistants? Remember a red faced, clinch fisted Saban dressing down an assistant or an equally red faced Brian Kelly grabbing an assistant by the collar? These guys are highly competitive with a lot on the line. It's a football ballgame not choir practice.
UL oline was outmatched talent wise vs Clemson.
It doesn't mean you can't compete! It's bad coaching IMO. Also Hamden is probably the worse OC hire stoops has made to this point. He is completely awful!
I saw dozens of holding plays last night, by both teams that were not called. Watch the line play and not the ball a few snaps and you will see holding by the Oline by both teams playing on more than 50% of plays. More on run blocking than pass protection.
Well we have way too many pre snap penalties and those are just plain careless.
Thanks for posting this. I’ve been saying all along that Hamden is not running plays to help our offense with our OL issues and the aggressiveness of our opponents defense.
I checked in here and stayed away from the game, watching live. Like I said a few weeks back (Vandy was the first game I did not watch) and have kept it up from there. Saw some of your all posts and was glad to not watch, I guess first half was up and down but UK did have the lead. Sorry about BV and BB. Hope both are OK. Sounds like BV is done for the year if he was that bad off.

Stoops, Wolf, and the rest of the staff needs to go. As a fan Stoops did a bunch to get us out of a hole that was very deep. He worked and worked to climb the wall, fell back in the hole a few times, but whatever is in the blackness at the bottom of that hole has ahold of his waist and is pulling him under. Not sure anyone at this point would take Stoops as a head coach. Sure he could get another DC job somewhere. If he is tired of coaching then retire. At this point though I do not think Mitch will work hard to get us a guys to get us back out of that hole. Hope I am wrong. Just feels like the years after Curci are about to happen all over again. With the changes to college sports it is the worst time not to go all in on a top coach. Will Mitch do it, hope we get to find out in a month or so.

It was Wolford. Not that im a fan of his, but im sure wolf's response was basically "its a snap count" meaning they learned this literally back in grade school.
The one was laughable though. Literally noone moved. The second one was on eli. Everyone moved but he didn't snap the ball.
We are getting screwed on holding. Thats all there is to it. On these replays we're getting flagged for even the slightest. Then you watch our guys get held all day with no flag. Even as a lifelong UK fan, the holding difference is as bad as i can ever remember.
^In a similar vein, did everybody notice that on Maclin's circus one-handed catch there was no flag thrown? Maclin made a one-handed catch because the DB had his left arm in an armbar and the ref w/in 3 yards of the play never threw a flag. Of course, we would've declined it so it's a moot point, except, had Maclin not been able to make an amazing catch, we would've been screwed by the refs for missing an obvious PI call.
Wolford only came back here when he knew Saban was leaving. He will be gone again when a better opportunity arises. You really don't know how much any of the other coaches' respect Stoops. We continue to look like we don't do anything in practice and get exposed against good teams.

Plus you screwed over a guy you just extended to bring back a man who just spit in your face two years prior. I wasnt a big yenser fan but you just cant do that people. It gets noticed.
Even Stinchcomb noticed. Call in I think Auburn game brought this comment: "I don't know what they're seeing but that's not holding." No question UK OL has huge targets on their back.

We don't even get the calls they make in the NFL and they have to be pretty egregious to get called in the league. I couldn't count the number of times the opponent's OL has had a hold of our guy's far shoulder pad and their elbow in his neck, with the rest of their lineman's entire body behind our pass rusher without a call. In the USC game it was at least 10 times on Walker alone.
They call it against us, sure, but never against our opponents even if it seriously affects the outcome of the play.
It's been mentioned that Walker's played this year with a sore back. Your back would be sore too if you had to carry an additional 600+ pounds on you back for 3+ hours every Sat night.
