He was visiting Tenn. this weekend. Hope he decides to flip to BBN, very soon. anyone have any info on his visit?

Ever heard of a group called the Orange Pride?

Ever watched the movie, He Got Game?

There is a chance we could hear some good news very soon. I was congratulating this person on Bannerman, and they said to me, I hope we can add our QB tomorrow, this was last night. They also text me back later and said "I am feeling really good about Austin Kendall"

If he was in Rupp yesterday and was not impressed by the crowd then we have no hope.
He was in Knoxville. Besides, he's being recruited to play football not basketball.

With all due respect, I guess you don't listen to Coach Stoops often...He LOVES bringing the guys to Rupp for basketball games to show them the depth of the BBN

There is nothing new in Knoxville he hasn't seen before, and I can't think of anything new they could tell him. The way I take it is he has already floated the decmmittment line to them and they requested he make one last visit. It's a hail Mary that probably goes incomplete.

BTW if Kendall does land in Lexington it will be a huge trophy for Coach Dawson.

It's a plus UK has a good basketball program and can treat football prospects to a game in Rupp. But I think a football player's experience there is far down the list of reasons he would select, or not select, UK for his school. It's another piece of the puzzle.

As for Kendall, a scenario is he'd decommit from UT today or tomorrow then announce for UK a day or 2 later. But, I think it's a long shot. I think, for the time being at least, he stays committed to UT. Hope I'm wrong.

The only good news that is truly confirmed is that I don't think Kendall is going to wait long to decommit or not. If he does I love our chances unless of course he talks of taking more visits.

5 QB's on the roster now at UT, and offers out to others in the 2016 class.... The QB position in Knoxville looks full to me, but someone could educate me on this if I am wrong.

My opinion only from reading a few tea leaves is that there is a 70% chance Kendall decommits and a 60% chance he flips to UK. He's a guy that along with Jackson could put UK in a position to have it's greatest class ever. That of course is a glass half full attitude but I really think Dawson could be the difference in this one, if he flips.

Kap, could be right. We've heard a thousand times over recruiting is about relationships....I think Kendall probably had a good relationship with Neal Brown. I think Brown was in pretty early on him and I think if Brown was still at UK Kendall would've flipped by now. I think he's in the process of establishing a relationship with Dawson. Hopefully Dawson can reel him in.

Stoops will add a strong quarterback prospect in his 2016 recruiting class. Towles will be a junior. With due respect to Reese Phillips, Barker is probably the only other quarterback on Kentucky's roster who can compete with Towles. No quarterback was signed in the 2015 class, so it is a high priority now. Offers to Kendall, DeWeaver, Oden, Gaines, and Haskins indicate that Stoops is fishing in the right waters. DeWeaver is from the same high school in Ohio that sent Dorian Hendrix to Kentucky, and Coach Marrow is recruiting him. Kendall's brother is a walk-on at Kentucky, which might count for something. Although Tennessee already has a bunch of quarterbacks, I don't think that is the primary factor. The question is where Kendall wants to go to college. If that's Kentucky, then he needs to go ahead and flip while the opportunity is available.

Taking the recruits to Rupp shows that UK has passionate fans. Those fans will be just as passionate about football if UK gets it turned around and with a little guidance from the coaching staff I think that can be shown to the recruits. I know the conception is that UK and the state of Kentucky are basketball orientated. That isn't entirely true. It is true the fans are passionate about their great basketball team but IMO the state of Kentucky on the high school level is more football orientated than basketball orientated and all is needed is for the sleeping giant that is UK football to awaken and this fan base will go nuts over football.

Oh, guess that is a little outdated, most probably don't even know what it is in reference to.

Certainly didn't hurt with our latest commitment:

Hungout with some of the Kentucky basketball team... I've never felt so short before

No doubt a lot of our basketball players had some interest or played football earlier in their career and would give UK positive reviews. They would probably enjoy a little better brand of football at UK also.

Say, maybe he got to talk to Willie some, wouldn't he have a couple of years eligibility left in football?

According to some of the media guys who interviewed Kendall got the impression that he would have liked for the situation at UT to have worked and he would have been happy. Being with his brother doesn't seem to be a huge thing but when he made the statement that he likes being wanted(Kentucky offer) it kind of showed his discontentment with the number of QBs that UT has offered. Now can UT bs their way by saying don't look at all of the other pretty girls in the room, you're the only girl we want, I don't know if he buys that or not. And read between the lines I'm not calling him a girl, lol.

Nice link, thanks. I was tempted to try to post there but since I don't appreciate flamers I resisted the temptation. He gave them some encouragement but not a total one and what would you expect him to do while there. Interesting that one comment was they should sign this other QB (talking to several) although they have possibly an All SEC QB returning, three four star QBs in 15, a 6.0 in 16 (Kendall), etc. But since they signed 31 commits in 14 and 29 in 15 I guess they just sign as many as they can and kick the ones that aren't going to be stars to the curb.

Maybe TU is UL's model for a successful program, although I think jurich tops even them in a lot of categories.
