With UK going hard after the Morehead Center

I can remember when UK got the cream of the crop now we chase after low level D-1 school transfers.
You took the words right off my page. When would UK go after players from Morehead, Marshall, Bellarmine, etc. This is where CCC has taken UK.

Not looking at anyone from marshall and especially not bellarmine. Gonzaga is also interested in the player from Morehead, but keep going

How many people who hated cal I wonder wanted him gone after the 19-20 season?
Why do people keep going back to this season like they were on par with the 2015 team or something? This is the same team that lost to Evansville and a sub-par Utah team. Richards was ok, but was the only reliable big so if you're the opponent, get him in foul trouble early and we're in trouble. Nate was soft, and so was most of our guards. Maxey was misused by Cal so he reverted to the Archie Goodwin strategy of driving inside and throwing up a prayer hoping a foul would be called.
They put together a few decent wins toward the end and the Florida game was cool but the comeback only happened because Blackshear was out most of if not all of the second half.
In my opinion, this year's team was a lot better than that team.

2022 but I'm saying people bashing him act like we didn't do anything in 7 years. We were decent that year and in 17 we got screwed by a referee. I guess those years bad coaching too. I was upset with st Peter's loss but I'm more upset with everyday shit storm around here.
Oh good lord. Stop with the ref in 2017. He was called out by every media person at halftime…Kentucky built a lead in the second half, choked it away and let them hit a last second shot.

Cow, once again, played tight when he had a second half lead, and blew it…again.

My theory is that it's better to find a "big guy" in the transfer portal in most cases. It gives these players more time to develop and add some weight. With few exceptions, many of the tall/big players coming out of high school are too raw
You know Kentucky used to develop its own players seems under Cal we just leave them on the bench and go looking at some one else's already developed player

yes, and a lot of people on here always made fun of Gonzaga as being a fraud
can't have it both ways

another example of lack of coaching ability

I can remember when UK signed 3 top 10players in the class of 22 including the overall number one....oh wait that was this year
It’s plausible that Cal signed Sharpe because the other blue bloods wouldn’t let him come without playing.

Gonzaga is looking for complimentary pieces to the team, Cal is hoping to field a team. There’s a difference, but keep going.

From averaging 4-5pts/game as a freshman to averaging double digits in his last two seasons shows improvement (and he was injured for most of 2020-21). Is he a super star? Far from it. Could it be addition by subtraction if Brooks leaves? Potentially. My point is he's a guy that could be here four years, something many say we need more of, and they're happy to see him go.
I actually want Brooks to come back for his senior year. I realize I may be in the minority on that.

Not necessarily, we need another big man even if Oscar comes back. He constantly had to go against teams with multiple players bigger than him. Not many big men can do what he did against bigger players every game. I agree with you that he can't go any farther up as far as individual awards, but a national championship would be nice.
If O comes back, he’s gonna gobble up like 30-35 mins a game. Not much left for a high caliber player. Just doesn’t work that way anymore.

That’s not necessarily the case. May be more as insurance just in case that happens. It doesn’t appear that Oscar has made a decision. UK’s people are still working on the NIL. Hopefully, they get it worked out. Keep the faith.
