UK fans literally raised money and put up a billboard for him. He deserves to be booed also
It probably pissed Cal off to see him draing 3s. Cal probably told him to knock that off and get your a$$ in the paint. We never saw him play like that again.
I’m not sure Big Z makes any decisions for himself and probably didn’t know anything about the billboard.
If he knew much about anything he would not have followed Cal to Arkansas because he’s not utilized properly.

I actually had hope after that game that we could actually win in the tournament again.
I was giddy ( I couldn't think of a better word) and already had #9 penciled in for April 8th.
That, the Bama game, and on the road in Knoxville gave me a glimmer of hope. Then the tournament started and I saw Cal on the bench.

Man, Big Z would've had a good future here. The coaching he would've received would've helped him better than any "coaching" he got from Cal.
Yeah we looked like legitimate championship material at that point. Sad Cal couldn’t get them to defend but his lack of coaching the last few years and his pathetic staff cost us so much.

Last year was so weird. We won 7 of final 8 with one loss a last second one at lsu I believe. It seemed like the team had finally turned a corner. Then a and m happened and then the Oakland game.
Reminded me a bit of end of 2022 season but that team lost a couple regular season games late and had some lingering injuries so the UT loss didn't surprise me but of course st Pete did.
In today’s NCAA, it probably wouldn’t be wise to boo any player. They may want to transfer here in the future.
I wish Z could have stayed. IMO he would have thrived in Pope's offense. I have never booed a UK player or explayer, just won't do it. Now the multimillionaire coach different story.

Cal has only played Big Z over 20 minutes one time this season. Starting Adoo now over him. For some reason Cal is not worrying about getting Big Z to the pro's anytime soon. Why is that? Big Z needs to think about the schools that are best for him and forget Cal. He needs a good coach to bring out the best in him.

Yes, and that was all Cal's doing and is one of the many reasons to boo that asshole out of Rupp. Calipari became the antithesis of what UK basketball is all about, IMO. Cal became, after his one and only Title, one of the biggest dumbasses I have ever seen in a UK coach. In pursuit of self-aggrandizement, he squandered the opportunity to flourish as the UK coach and became an insufferable embarrassment for BBN and the University in the process. Cal damaged the UK brand but now the healing is well under way with Pope.
I hope the fans cheer him so much he blocks dj’s shot and comes down for a dunk on our end. Then he sits on UK bench and says I’m staying here. Transfer portal please

Booing being acceptable was never a question. Even when they were getting “benefits” and free college while average fan was paying to watch them play. Booing has always been acceptable.
The slight thing to consider now is if we would want them as a Cat if they hit the portal and if the experience here weighs in their decision.

This actually was the first nail in Cal's coffin imo. The fans pay attention to former players like Sam and Jack.
