I guess I don't get the joke. It is Cal's decision to wait for Diallo rather than signing Cam before knowing what Diallo would end up doing. So saying, in Cal I trust, reverberates the fact that even if I disagree with a move he makes, I know he knows a lot more than me what moves to make as an armchair fan.

Umm, that's not what happened at all. Cal did not make any decision not to sign Cam, instead it's Cam who has simply not yet made his decision---reportedly because he wants North Carolina and Roy is still trying to get Pitt's ACC transfer restriction lifted.

And, fwiw, I believe Cam still has a UK offer, and we still have a spot available for him, so it's theoretically possible we could still land him (although I don't believe that will actually happen).

But we had extra scholarships. We still have 2 if I'm not mistaken. So it really didn't matter in the sense that you're pointing out.
