Wish Cal Would Publically ROAST Adams and Officials

he'd never do that, and I'm glad we have such a class act as our coach

selfishly I wish he would, though

He's hinted at it. But I'm glad he doesn't whine about it like Pitino does, though Cal would be justified in doing so.

Two Saturdays in a row with tweets reporting other refs and coaches saying the two crooks in question were out of line. We'll never know but Mitch B should be on a direct line to SEC commish demanding things change.

Do you really think the SEC gives two craps what we think? They already know this is going on. It isn't exactly a recent phenomena either, though this year we've consistently been screwed worse than average.

Barney isn't going to do a damn thing.

I think it's funny refs are so protected as if they never do wrong..why it's a fineable offense is laughable. Refs are the most mentally weak people on earth.

I love the PC crowd, "I'm glad we have such a class act". Screw that and you! I'm tired of Cal bending over for these idiots. It's about time for him to start shaming not just the officials but the SEC for contracting them to call SEC games. If not for UK, the SEC would be the equivalent of the MVC in basketball. I'm not asking for preferential treatment, but GD, an even whistle would suffice.

Agree. Take a checkbook, open it up and say I'll fill this out after I'm done saying what I think. As poster Mike Edwards pointed out, delay of game warning should've been the call.
the problem is that if he did that, he'd suffer a much much worse character assassination by the two-bit sports media than Pitino, Roy, or Boeheim have ever endured.

So, status quo ...

Those clowns have been getting a media pass for years. Couldn't tell you the last time any of them were media shamed. Hell, Boeheim lost his mind against Duke last year. Ran out on the court yelling "Bullshit" to the official. He wasn't even issued a tech for it either. Roy is untouchable. Pitino skips ACC media day, post game pressers, you name it. Not a whisper.

Worst thing that would happen is a fine and to me it would be worth it considering what Cal makes. He needs to put them on blast for the piece of shat officiating that went on tonight.
Because that would help what? Get him fined and suspended. Stay classy Cal. Let the thing run it's course. They're not going to change outcome no matter what but you can be damn sure there will be dialogue about the inappropriateness of this T.

The SEC is loving this, year in year out. Everytime UK goes on the road it's like the circus is coming to town and must-see-TV for all. SEC basketball would be completely dead if we routinely won on he road.

What it would do is draw attention to the game actions that happened in the final seconds that otherwise would go unnoticed by everyone other than those who watched the game. Call it a piece of shat call for what it is and you have ESPN reporting on it and millions looking it up to see what happened. The entire world needs to know that Pat Adams is a piece of garbage and maybe if some embarrassment is brought onto the SEC it will do something.

I kind of wish Cal would do it too. The fine would be minimal, but it would be worth it. We all know he knows we are getting totally roasted by officials via the ejection against USC. Just do it one time Cal. One time.

I want Mitch to say to Cal " I'm going to give you a 1% raise, for which the funds are to be used to cover fines for being honest about your feelings publicly. There is to be NOTHING left over."

There wouldn't be just 1 but 3 consequences from that kind of statement:

1. Heavy fine

2. Bad press (character assassination, as jamo says).

At that point, you're thinking, meh, he can afford it, and writers don't like him anyway. But 3 is the key...

3. We would get zero close calls from here on out. Even refs that privately think Adams screwed up would join the cause in solidarity. If you think it can't get worse, think again. We don't get many calls on the road, but no one does. We'd start having road games at Rupp....

We already have road games at Rupp. There would be no backlash because they would know Cal doesn't care to call them on their crap. If anything they would walk a finer line with more eyes on them doing out games.

We should just boycott the SEC tournament. Put me down for the conspiracy that the SEC thinks that giving other teams a win against us will help get more teams into the NCAA.

Ok, so that's probably tin foil hat material, but I'm pissed and would like to see something done.

And you think that hasn't already happened?

Not as much as it could be. There comes a point when enough is enough.

Coached ball with a guy who was sick of an official (high school level) not calling 3 seconds for the entire first half. As the buzzer sounded for halftime he said, "I'm going to go get a technical real quick". He then proceeded to meet the guy in front of the scorers table and tell the guy how pathetic it was that he refuses to call the rules and asks why he is giving them an unfair advantage plus a few other words. He refused to quit until the ref had to call a technical. What happened was that he drew attention to what the guy was obviously doing and now had the entire audience watching. The second half he called it almost every time it needed to be called.

yep. refs are like certain other professions: the vast majority are doing the best they can and with good intentions, but they still protect the bad apples.

There were many poor calls tonight, but he cannot call out officials after that game. It will just sound like whining about that one late technical, and no one outside of the Bluegrass is going to think that was a terrible call.

Seth Greenberg and officials he spoke with said it was a call that should have been overlooked.

Well I guess we'll keep taking it up the *** with a smile our face then.

Like the poster above me said put me down for a $100 as well.

We don't get the calls at Rupp either.
