Them 33 points went out the window with how he played vs UL. He was horrible.
Yeah, he was so bad that without we'd have gotten beat.

Bashing Murray is nonsense. Made a few mistakes. Made a lot of good plays. Like every other player on the planet, he has room to improve. We lose big without him. Wise up,
I'm not comparing one player to another. Especially Willis & Murray. Those are totally different players at different positions. I just can't stand fans bashing Willis but take up for Murray. I like Murray a lot. I can't think of a freshman guard that I would rather have on our team than Murray. But I like Willis also. There is times we need Willis to help stretch the floor. Yesterday, Murray played a very poor game. We played our best basketball at the end of the 1st half with Murray on the bench. I think we scored on 7 straight possessions. Hawkins played much better yesterday than did Murray. By the tourney time, Murray will not be turning it over as much because I think Cal will be wanting him to shoot more from outside like Booker did last year.
Just watched game again. Willis had one rebound he could have possibly got that he didn't. His defense was fine ... Took a charge forced a turnover and hit a three.
Stat man was very kind to Murray he had closer to ten turnovers...just completely out of control. Cal has to get him to understand his forced drives in to traffic on a east/West path with the ball exposed and getting in air with nothing is not a good play.
Willis has a spot in the rotation and I love that it pisses off you Willis haters.

Haters gonna hate. That's the way of the biased world. Wills played fine. yep, he can do better but he could also be much worse.
I think he can do that, plus a couple of rebounds and good passes. Willis is a contributor to this team, no doubt; but this is a fair expectation of him. Every now and then he might go off, but for the most part, if he does this, then he has his value.

I didn't say Willis can play because he's from Ky.. I was merely taking up for him.. (this tread was started to criticize Willis) He did play well yesterday Cal. said in the post game he was going to use Willis as a stretch 4. I'm very proud of Willis and Hawkins two players from my home state doing well for Kentucky..What does the state he comes from have to do with his basketball skill set?
No Sir.. That is what got Hawkins his mins. Willis has been in the rotation all year. He didn't play against Ohio State because he was injured.. Willis is a stretch 4.. Hawkins is a combo guard just like Briscoe.
Please think before you read and analyze a post.
I never compared Murray to sparks as a draft pick or a pro but He is just like Patrick sparks in the sense of a streaky hot shooter and he plays "street ball" defense. He's definitely gifted to play lock down defense but I usually see the running around.
If you are so good why aren't you playing. We could use an All American like you.

I wish he had worked on his body more while at UK (First two years). I think he would have been really good this year if he was additional 15 lbs stronger.
But even without his strength, he wasn't that bad. He made one silly mistake, but he knows how to ride the momentum. He probably has a bit of rust from not playing Ohio State, that's two weeks off.
But he'll be our x-factor in NCAA tourney.

But for the fifth time: We couldn't score. We know Murray is the best scorer on the team. Murray's ability buys him a longer leash. Regardless of being pushed--Willis wasn't supposed to dribble the ball up. Moreso, why catch it that close to the sideline and turn toward the sideline. It's unfortunate, but Derek can't afford mistakes.
Did I ever say I was better than him? I'm also not on athletic scholarship so that comparison is totally off the wall.
My only complaint was him passing up an open baseline shot to force feed the post. Just shoot the ball. His corner three was a beauty, reminded me of the Stanford player in the '98 FF.
I want to thank all the out of state stars that made this the top college basketball program of all time . Without them the program would be a bottom feeder and UK would be good at nothing .
Point out the post that called him a savior and then you might have a point. But making it up makes you look rather silly.
You should have been screaming at Murray. Murray's selfish play that created lots of unforced turnovers turned what should have been a 14 point victory into a last second missed shot victory.
You nailed it. Murray doesn't appear to follow any of the coach's instructions. Cal takes him out for an unforced turnover, puts him back into the game, and he does the exact same thing which results in another turnover.
Either stop drinking or stop posting while drinking. You act as if duke is full of NC boys. All the top programs are into global recruiting.

You are either stupid or doing a good job of pretending or maybe you have recently been introduced to the use of numbers but have yet to master the use of them. Maybe in your post you were too revealing about the type of person you are and now you are working overtime to distract from who and what you are.
96 minutes to think of this and I know you spent that whole time crafting this gem . Take 24 hours and think it through real good like , I can't wait .
But you're asking for him to get more PT. "Could be much worse" doesn't warrant more PT.
