Willis went 1-2 from the line with 10 minutes left

The officiating changed midway through the second half. What constituted a foul early, benefited our play, and what was considered a foul later benefited KU.

It stands to reason that there should not be lopsided halves in terms of fouling. If one team is more prone to foul then they will foul more in both halves. It makes no sense that one team fouls a bunch in the first half and then suddenly they don't foul at all in the second while the their opponent doubles the number of fouls they committed in the first half. It is illogical.

The 5th one on Lee was ridiculous.

And Bilas going on like an idiot about standing still with arms straight up... even doubling down saying it again, WHILE THE REPLAY SHOWED LEE WAS STILL WITH ARMS STRAIGHT UP.

Can call fouls on any play--- they were pretty much one-way for last 18 minutes of game.

As I said before, when two teams are evenly matched, and they play the same style, there is absolutely no way that one team can shoot more than twice the free throws of the other. It's simply not possible -- unless the refs are so caught up in the emotion of the crowd that they are intimidated. We saw that tonight.

he's awful

i remember him lauding plumlee iv for having his hands straight up in november on a play where--whether or not it was a foul--the kentucky player was stripped on the way up

pretty sure plumlee didn't stand with his arms straight up and make a play on the ball at the same time

I thought we actually got a favorable whistle in the First Half. The refs more than made up for it in the Second. Extremely proud of our guys tonight, however.

The fouls were even up until the 10 minute mark in the second half. Also we were shooting a better percentage than KU at the end of regulation. We were right at 66% and they were around 56% from the line.

Anyone who believes these officials or any others aren't biased to some degree are just ignoring the truth imo.
It goes both ways though. I just don't believe they are completely neutral. Never have.

First half was pretty even, slightly tilted in our favor IMHO.

Second half, refs got the memo to get our bigs out of there.

This is the second time in two years UK has abused Ellis. He is severly overrated and we made him a non factor last year. He was 1-4 from the field, but like 8-13 from the line. Pathetic. He was a complete waste except for being protected by the refs on D and allowed to shoot without better players close on offense
