Willis says he, "is deteriorating"

Kinda makes me wonder if we should pull a Popovich and rest him and Lee Saturday. Bama's playing well and we need to hold home court. Taking a loss at aTm no shame

Yeah, seeing him on TV when he came down made me think that was from a cumulative effect sorta' thing. When the body gets deteriorated we all know it's much more likely to end in an injury. I just want him healthy for the big dance.

In fact, I really want that for all of them. It would be a real shame should we have anymore injuries, nagging, cumulative, or whatever. We need to be all healthy by the time the tourney begins.

He needs to lay off the hair gel. It's slowing him down. He can't lose a step. Unlike Grayson Allen he will get called for traveling

It's not a concern if you look at this long-term. Saturday doesn't define the season. If UK loses, it is understandable, especially if Lee and AP are both out.

A person that is deteriorating doesn't hit shots and d up the way he did tonight. He was getting good lift on his shots and his form was perfect.
Someone let him know he's not a 40 year old NFL linebacker that has trouble climbing stairs.

Please..someone fix the man some protein shakes..

He talked about his body breakdown after the game tonight and said he is just playing through it. Didn't sound like he was overly worried and making 7 3's tonight while beat up speaks volumes. He's playing hard and many more minutes than ever before at this level and it's taking a toll. Just hope he is fine come tournament time. Be great to be regular season SEC Champs and then for Cal to take his don't care that much attitude in SEC tourney and give his guys some extra rest before NCAA

Sure wouldn't mind seeing us schedule directional schools of the blind right before March to get a little rest... probably wouldn't work out schedule wise

Is the high performance training not for the basketball team too? Aren't they the ones making big bucks to determine these kind of things? I thought they monitored this kind of stuff?

well our three best frontcourt players are all significantly hurt

so, yes
what I meant was, is Willis really in bad shape or no? Just trying to get a read

Maybe they should rest Saturday, and hope we can pull it off - but no shame if we can't

Yes, but guardedly so. His attitude after the game left me feeling he was OK with where he is but with a little concern. I know that doesn't totally answer your question but we really don't know how bad he is feeling and I doubt he will be sharing that with us. I feel he will be fine.

maybe just exhausted -
This actually answers the question quite well; thanks friend

Well the SEC dictates the conference schedule and all the directional schools are in their conference play as well. Would be darn near impossible.

Nope, the trainers and PT guys/gals will get to him....he will receive special attention until the Saturday game...likely, very light practice (if any) by Willis....he will be up and ready to go on Saturday!!!

Its a whole new perspective actually being at the game...at halftime Willis looked 90 years old walking off the floor

I agree with kyassfan, if Willis is hatin on Willis, none of us are safe.

Would be funny to see Kentucky run a 4 guard lineup, kind of like Mizz did back when they had Pressey, Denmon and English.. rotate Hump and Willis for 20 minutes/game, and make TA&M play small ball with us. They'll get their points down low, almost surely win, but they won't be able to have too many of these beefy bigs in the game with Ulis, Briscoe, Murray, and Matthews dribbling them in circles.

Hilarious if Kentucky does this and we go off from the 3-pt land for the win.

Damn. ... Cal hated him and would not play him until he read rafters.... Not w he is playing him to much and deteriorating him. Cal must really hate him.

How the hell is uliss surviving?

Sarcasm ... Maybe.

Willis is probably just used to more MPG. I haven't been to a practice or looked into them that much, but I imagine in most programs, the high caliber players get limited practice and treatment if they're nearing exhaustion or breaking down? That would have never been afforded to Willis 3 months ago, but probably would be now.
