When watching Willie play around the rim, one thing where he really needs to improve is his touch around the rim when he shoots the ball.
To that end, he has to change how he shoots the ball. He doesn't shoot the ball as much as he pushes the ball. His hands aren't positioned properly on the ball as illustrated by the picture below where he constantly pushes the ball off of the palm of his hand rather than his fingertips in effect shooting a knuckle ball that often bounces too hard off of the backboard.
In light of that, he needs to either dunk it every opportunity he gets or learn how to release off of his fingertips and use the board ... it would completely change his offensive game.
Contrast with Trey Lyles who releases the ball off of the fingertips:
