I have been saying all season this team is a 7 to 9 loss team in the SEC. With the players we have we will be doing well to make the NCAA tournament and win one or two games. Pope has still overachieved with the talent he has. I am glad he plays Chandler, Noah and Perry as much as he does. Will be huge for next year. Pope is playing with house money this year. All these fans booing and bad mouthing him do not want him to succeed and I question if they truly are UK fans as I don't remember seeing them post after the huge win over Tennessee.

Noah played 0 minutes tonight.

I tend to agree that that this is better than I expected and next year should be even better.

But a lot of our losses are worrisome. It's like every time we get a big win we are instantly let down in the next game or 2. It reminds me of when Cal would get up 10 points with 10 minutes to go we would lose every time.

I predicted 10-8 going into conference play and was called names.
9-9 got me rebuked by that JonathanW poster, but now it's looking like our ceiling.

The road games at Oklahoma and Texas won't be easy either. There are no gimmes on this schedule, and UK continues to look the part of a complete cuckold every other game.

If I am betting on Perry, Noah, and Chandler next, god help me. We ain’t going anywhere if this is best we got.

I think we just need to get healthy. I think Pope has done a really good job of managing the roster, while missing three very important contributors. I seriously doubt he had plans to play Chandler, Perry and Noah much this season. Almonor has really stepped up and proved to be very reliable. I still think our best is yet to come. Even if we drop a few more league games. We will be battle tested come March, if nothing else.

Tonight UK looked like a team without its two pointguards.

It Butler doesn't get back ASAP, this thing goes off the rails fast. We'll still limp into the NCAA tournament, but it might be as one of those rare teams that does it with only 18 wins on its resume.
Lamont is our glue and our engine and our only back court defender … without him we are 1/2 of what we are with him … he’s that solid when healthy .

did Noah even get in the ****ing game? He trots Perry and Chandler out there who have given us less.
He's not playing Perry and Chandler over Noah, he's playing them because they're guards and our top two PGs are out hurt. Noah got to play when our starting PF was out. Now he's back and Noah didn't play. Carr didn't give a lot tonight and maybe Noah should've gotten a few mins in the first half to see how his energy might affect the game. Oh well, spilt milk, hindsight is 20/20, etc.

I don’t think those 3 will ever be productive enough to be major players on a championship contending team.

i’ll trade one guaranteed loss to cal every year for the 10-13 he’d deliver as our coach. uk has been delivered back to its fans. **** cal, we got bigger things to do. we might get around to humbling him down the road. in the meantime let him be humbled by his own delusions, we are building an actual program.

Is Pope talking about neuroscience tonight in the presser? How about using esoteric basketball lingo that basically means, "I didn't make adjustments and got waxed by an inferior team?"

Some of you are just awful fans. Miserable fans or not fans at all. Perfect example is the reply of if you are relying on Chandler, Noah and Perry for next year God help me. I never said those were the players we would rely on but it is important we build our bench for the new recruits and transfers coming in next year. It matters a lot.

Perry will never be a reliable contributor in the SEC. League is too talented for him. He’ll never be much better than he is right now. Too many skill and physical drawbacks.

Your prediction means little to nothing. Most all teams will be a 7-9 loss SEC team. This isn’t your mama’s SEC. It’s the deepest conference in the history of College Basketball (or at least since the golden days of the Big East).

So your saying I am right? Geez people get a hold of your emotions before you post.

I figured we would lose our share of games. I did not figure we would be without a PG this late in the year. You have Butler and Kerr and this is a different game. Add to that Chandler played more than Carr did and you have a team that is hurting. Oweh also was hurting. I did not even watch 1 second of the game, just stayed on here reading posts. I said this was going to be a tough game. To say I knew this team would lose, blah, blah, blah does not fit a game when you are down 4 guys, 2 totally and 2 hurting. On top of that you have the old coach with a week with 3 ex UK players wanting to show out for Arky and it is a mix of what you saw.

Again I did not watch one single play, will not watch one single highlight and know this is what it is.

This is exactly what I was afraid would happen. The former players that couldn't drop it in the ocean, having career games.
