Article on KSR site mentions three we offered who are probably going elsewhere. I don't get it. Look at our offense this year. Coen is a really good coach. He has been able to attract highly regarded receivers but so far no QB's. What gives ?

Not to put too fine a point on it, but impressions of Stoops' offensive style/output might not be remedied after a single season of Coen's offense... Coen, the dude who will likely move on after next season if he doesn't leave for another position in the next few months.

Why come in as a top QB prospect when the HC has yet to prove that he's able to put a staff together that can sustain a passing attack over several years? Why risk coming here when it's possible CMS will regress and put in a staff that once again leans too heavily on the run game?

I don't think CMS will regress after Coen leaves, but I refuse to believe that anyone negatively recruiting us ISN'T preaching that.

There are two 4 stars on the roster that can play QB after Levis. Bo and the kid from summit in Tennessee.

There will be 4 star quarterbacks in the transfer portal every year. They will all be wanting to go to a place they can come in and play.

Sometimes the right light is required to bloom.
Yeah.

I was initially skeptical of the notion of pulling in a quality QB from either the old transfer style or the portal.

But how many playoff appearances and titles and Heismans have gone to teams with transfer QB’s?

It is sort of the way “it gets done” the last 4 or 5 seasons.

And it proves that coaches may pigeon-hole players, especially quarterbacks, early in their careers and then stubbornly stick to their choice.

If Hogan from Iowa shows more than a pulse in Lexington, there will be a meltdown in Iowa: re-watching, their QB looked pretty ineffective in the bowl.

Oh yeah. That'll be a epic meltdown of biblical portions, considering he didn't get in on that train wreck if he pulled a levis here they would roll.
